Who here started on iEra, tried playing the PC client, but gave up on it?

How many of you who started on iEra play the PC client regularly and enjoy it?

I am new to these forums but not new to Graal. I've been playing Era since 2003 and I am disappointed in the current status of the server. I am trying to push new ideas that could potentially improve the experience for new players and bring in additional playercount. I want to use the results from these questions to back my argument that Era is losing out on potential new players because of how the server caters to existing players who have had years of presence.

Any additional comments regarding your experiences with the PC client are welcome!

The main reason that most iEra players don't play on the PC is because most of them are underage and the whole entire subscription fee is kind of a big turn off. Also, as I recall, the community is incredibly awful over there. Not as bad as iEra's, but it's still pretty damn bad. It's a decent server, but the fact that there's like 60 people playing it sucks.

Good point. I honestly can't say I've ever played iEra. I've logged on maybe once or twice but never got myself into the game so I was unaware of what the main player demographic is.

PC subscriptions are definitely awful. It's reasonably priced but the lowest pack of gelats you can purchase is 2400 for $33 which gets you 8 months of gold, instead of just paying $4~ a month which would be a much more efficient and wallet friendly method. There are ways to obtain gelats for free but it requires surveys and sketchy program downloads.

No problem, buddy. I've played it a few times but I never really got into it. The other huge reason is the whole entire Gelat thing. It would be so much easier to just make it a subscription that you buy straight from graal instead of going to some sketchy gelat thing. But that's just my opinion.

You can buy gelats directly from the Graal Online website which is reliable, but like I said they force you to spend at least $33 for 8 months worth of gelats. The SuperRewards website is legit but to someone who is new it does look very sketchy.

Although what I can do is aim to try and make Era better and hopefully kick ass enough that people will obtain subscriptions in which ever way they desire in order to play the game!

I'm not necessarily an iEra player, but whenever within minutes of logging onto PC Era, Lilfeen called me some pretty rude things. I stopped playing. :(

I enjoy both iEra and Era, I prefer Pc era, but I don't play it as much as back in 2007-08 because the players have gotten pretty rude, nd ***, forreal pc era guys talk more smack than iEra kids.
Quit iera since 6 months now due to some *** with the manager, snk.
On pc era, skilled players get what they deserve, iEra is all about the $$$ you spend, and how much you suck the staff's *****.
Enjoy both, but prefer client for better controls.

Ozzy you think PC is any different? Getting money on Era PC is next to impossible. If you want to get anywhere you have to USD.

Era PC seems amazing but the rude players ruin it. Not to mention starting players have no chance against guys who have been playing forever. The game is not noob-friendly.

Like getto said, ez to make cash, mining gives lots of $ too, and unlike iEra, Era has a PROPPER,FEE-FREE trade system, aswell as LENDING system, and your friends can give you cash trough this system aswell.
If 16 man spar events didn't exist on iEra, I would have 5 out of my 40 guns I actually own.
Bar being 300k on pc,Ok? But you can make 50k a day.

Snk didn't allow betspar because he said we'd use it as a trade system (when iEra didnt have a trade system), still doesnt want to add? Why? Because skilled players would get rewarded for being pro, which he wouldnt allow ofc.
Era pc is maybe, not noob-friendly, but iEra isn't either, but at least I know that if I am good, I will make it on pc.

Gst champ twice in a row, 23k wins, what did I get? 2 gst hats, 1 ganghouse which snk refuses to update because of personal beef with me.
7 years on pc, this kind of *** didn't happen. Not to talk about those 'famous' kids getting hired on iEra (*sigh* jenni *sigh*) and all those other suck-ups.

I have experience, if Pc era was an ios app or if iEra would be accessible trough client publicly (and players would see pc era), I bet you everyone would play pc.

I started on iEra, tryed PC era but gave up due to the insanely high prices, the guys who run super fast, and low digging payouts

The entire PC community is just horrible. Both the development and the player community.

Because the iServer community (both aswell) is so much better right. /sarcasm.
Don't forget most of the dev running/managing the iServers, are for the most of them players from pc a.k.a the pc community.

Don't say "well iEra is just as bad" when someone says pc Era is horrible. I bet if you ask Emera, he'll think that iEra has a bad community too. Keep in mind this thread is about pc Era please.

I love/loved iEra, what I say is from experience. If Frankie wants to get some information about why we likd/dislike era pc and why we play/don't play what server, then we'll have to compare them both. And having many POV'S from different players like Emera/Myself is important, relevant.

Yeah but after that I found the playerbase quite annoying, they all think they're superior to anyone else.

Gangs/Parties where hard to get used to, and basing was like a haunted house.

Stuff in the market used to sell good, but now there is a little of everything.

I cant stand Era PC, even when Im trying to make money I get killed by people who spend money on the game and also called noob alot.I can see why their population is always below 60....

No need to get smart. I ment for the tutorial. It supposed to teleport new players but nonetheless I'm doing fine for my own. My god.

ReBorn, I agree but actually I go to areas where PKers don't be at so I usually pick up trash there. Got myself an Uzi. Wish player count would rise, but the subscription BS turns players off.

Frankie you're too awesome for always trying to improve graal. It's inspiring you're a star. Okay so from what a lot of people here are saying, PC is too hard to get into and the community sucks.

I logged onto iera for 5 minutes and got a 30 killstreak with handgun then when i died I was called ****ty noob etc whatever. You have to get used to that crap if you're going to play graal in general. It's not limited to Era PC. What I DO see when iera players come to PC is "gibe monie pls admin drag pls me gun free X_X omg y mean wow u bad suck noob"

Stop asking for handouts and being a general idiot and maybe we won't be rude to you when you annoy the **** out of us. Most PC players are just there for nostalgia and to keep up with friends and maybe PK (even though pking is stupid right now everyone's a bitch probs cuz iera players made running/laming popular jussayin)

Making money on PC is rough that's for sure but since we have people that will literally mine for 24 hours a day with only a few beat off breaks (ganning) there has to be a lot of work involved into getting items. I've heard rumors of a new system emerging where money making won't really be a big thing, but until then you have to suck it up and trash pick (15k an hour as GIT said), gang raid, mine, etc to get your guns. Sorry :/

I tried Era PC. I was stuck in a room. If I remember correctly it was some tutorial level, and unstick me didn't work. I pmed all three of the PRs online, and waited 20 minutes for nothing. I guess it's not a bad thing, considering what people are saying about the community.

Maybe this game wouldn't be bad if pros would stop killing the damn newbies over and over. Am I an iEra player? Yep. Do I beg admins for free guns on Era PC? No I don't. I actually try to trashpick but even that is hard when everyone pks you, farts on you, and say GTFO our game...I'm sorry...But Era PC community is ***...Not one nice person yet and as null said no PRs to help you with your issue...What happen to the protection you get when you start off? I'll still play...but this game sucks community-wise.

The point of the game is to kill people nerdo. Like I said if you can't take the flame or banter then you should go play neopets or something. The same thing happens to me when I go to iEra, except I get more attention because I bop everyone repeatedly so they think they're hot **** for killing me with BAR or whatever (isn't that like $100 USD? lololol) With only like 200 players (never online all at the same time) PC can't really have a lot of PRs. I think we have 6? and are hiring a few more this week but having a 1/10 ratio of PR/player isn't really that effective. There's a tutorial and you can PM other players. I've helped like 5 new people in the last week including giving them guns. The only people I'm rude to are the ones that ask me for 100k or some stupid **** like that.

"Just learn to play". Ik how to play....Sure, you can beat everyone with an AK but guess what? Your a regular Era PC player and I'm a regular iEra player..So I'm still getting used to dodging...Pretty hard when the pros call you a "noob" and to "stop running"...Lol.

Good stuff Frankie, really interesting to hear the players views, but you can't expect for you to not get killed while digging, go mine if you're getting annoyed with being killed (It's no-pk in there.) It's just that the point of the game is to kill, and walking to the beach and killing some easy kills is just part of it. I do, however, think we need a more interactive way for new players to get assistance, as for myself being a 10+ year veteran of the game, I'll sit there for an hour trying to get attention for a problem, while newer players won't give up such patience.

You probably are running. Iera calls it dodging but if you just run to a corner then shoot where the other player has to run in order to chase you then that's bitchmade. Go to spar and practice (or events are good too since they're semi consistent spar isnt) or go mine like Fed said. I second what fed said about a quicker response system. It's stupid to wait so long.
