Giving out Gralats in Holiday Events
 

This is something that has me feeling disappointed when it comes to getting presents/gifts/treats in this game. Normally, i'd label this topic with a "Oh heck no!" title and rant my bottom off but i want to see opinions from both sides and whether or not this feels like something the community is okay with. Here's my quick two cents:

I'm really against the whole idea of Giving Gralats away as Gifts or Treats because it really doesn't feel like a special item/gift to give away considering that Gralats are usually obtained/purchased by these players on a daily basis. Worst of all, they come in really small amounts.

In Trick or Treat, i remember giving away 5 candies to an Elder only to get back like around 30-50 gralats. This Christmas, my only super gift was 151 gralats (The least amount of gralats i received in a gift). The only presents i got for this Christmas (as a total of 6 gifts) was around 1800 gralats, Eggnog, and 3 pieces of Candy. It was kind of disappointing knowing that while everyone got cool gifts and such: I was given such a small amount of currency.

(Yes, It is a small amount when considering how 2500 gralats costs 1 dollar)

And speaking of cool gifts, it becomes a tease and a barricade beyond such amazing gifts/treats for players to obtain. Isn't it kind of disappointing knowing that you spent struggling around to catch ghosts or having your friends go through the effort of using their money to give you a present only to get back what seems like a really unfair portion of gralats?

In my opinion/suggestion, i'd recommend removing the gifting gralat option in future holiday events because this game's currency is being mixed in with such exclusive gifts that these talented GFX artists have worked on (especially for these events) and that they probably may not come back at all ever again.

What do you guys think? Do you feel it's okay or do you feel it's unfair for staff to be bundling gralats and mixing them with treats/presents in such holiday events? I will not go against anyone's opinion as i'm opening this topic up for discussion. I also decided to add a poll. Hope everyone has enjoyed their christmas! :)

Yeah, it's really disappointing, I mean I would rather get some sort of really common item then a few hundred gralats.

I'm ok with gralats, I was thinking of saving up after Christmas because I spent so much on gifts but I got 11k gralats in my gifts so now I don't have to bother

I got less than 500 groats, a little bit of candy, and egg nog. Is I agree completely.

11,000 gralats? Jeez, how many gifts did you have.
Edit: never mind, apparently a lot of people got 10k+ gralats

Personally I would say at least have the amount of gralats equal to the gift 'worth'... I got a couple of gralat gifts this year, and not one was over 400 gralats... seeing as though the player who gifted me this spent at least 500 on it, this seems like a rip off...

Farming is the worst way to earn gralats, IMO.

I think the rate at which gralats are given should decrease (thus increasing chance of getting something good). every year i only get a few hats ill never wear, a few cool items, and furniture that doesnt fit my personal theme that i end up selling. ive never gotten higher-end furniture or mounts

I would like to see 2nd and 3rd place gralat prizes awarded in events in general. I seen rufus do that before giving out "conselation" prizes

I'd honestly would like to see more gralats given out in the gifts. This Christmas I felt a bit slighted. Got one hat, which made up for complete disappointment. :) Got 4k worth in gifts from people. Ended up getting 1.5k from the gifts.

The same happened to me, but I got like 400 gralats and the rest was shtty food

Going slightly off topic here it's also very sad how people scam the majority of people into giving them gifts (People doing G4G) This just makes the graal community look bad and un-trustworthy not only on christmas, but all year round.

I got quite lucky in presents last year as I got a raccoon mount and I only had 11 gifts last year, this year I had 30 presents and got some nice hats, candy, egg nog and about 6k I think.

Overall I do not think they should remove gralats but instead remove the egg nog and candy from gifts, this way people would either get more gralats, hats ect.

Just shows how greedy people can really be. I had more fun running random "events" and stuff giving away free gifts and didn't really care so much about getting them. There where a few others like myself that I know where showing the true giving spirit of the holidays and handing out to random less fortunate people. It's just a shame there wasn't more of us.
