Christmas Gift Submissions 2013
 

I've received a few messages about how to do this, so I assume there is still interest. If you didn't know, every year we invite people who are not on the staff team to submit content for the presents system. We have four present categories: tough, smart, cool, cute. All content (mainly hats) will need to loosely tie-in with these groups.

Players who submit hats that are accepted and used will receive their hat or 10,000g -- useful for buying gifts!

If you would like you participate you may do so by uploading your image to a website (such as http://imgur.com) and sending it to me in a private message OR e-mail it to [email protected] with the subject title 'Christmas Submission' and it'll get passed on to me. Make sure that you also provide your Graal ID (this can be found on the feedback menu in-game) and your preference for how you want to be rewarded. The deadline for all of this is December 24th.

Hoping to see some nice things this year as always.

Bonus points for Turtle themed stuff as always.

Not to sound greedy but does this count towards individual accepted submissions or the user? Like for example if a player submits 2 hats and you want to use both will they have the option to receive 20k rather than 10 or both hats?

So 'mostly' hats... does this mean that we can't submit furniture? I would love to try my hand at making those... like a christmas elf... are there template or specific sizes for furniture pieces?

Is it ten k for each hat as in if i sent a hat in one coulour and then sent it again in a diffrent would i still get money or the hat for the second one

People who have their hat entered into the gifts should be entitled to their hat. It's not fair to give them a choice...

They are allowed their hat ORR gralats, how is it unfair? Seem's more of an advantage to me.

Some one who doesn't gfx doesn't want players who DO to have nice things...

They're contributing to the game. Other players can have the same things, but they'll have to contribute to the game via gralats.

It's not like you can't learn to do graphics yourself so you can help contribute to the game much like the players who have put in the time and effort to learn.

Some people will be UN-talented for their entire lives and never know it. :unsure: what if it's me

Apologies, by someone I thought you meant you were talking about yourself!

2 questions:

1.does the item or hat have to be Christmas related or just anything?

2.Does it have to be a nicely made looking hat like it should or would look in game or just like a basic rendering so you can get the gist of what its supposed to look like. That way it can be fixed/edited later so it looks nicer just to help those of us who are Artistically impaired.

And I don't mean pics of drawlings of them or anything like that. I mean made in the proper apps or programs and detailed and everything.

Sent my hats again xD the first time I forgot my Graal ID! My bad.

1. Nope, choices are Smart, Tough, Cool, Cute, Or Christmas.

2. We prefer nicely made hats, but it's alright if you want a GFX to do it. If you need help on some just contact me. Otherwise idk, some GFX won't want to.

It would so cool to see something I or one of my friends made, in the game!

That's kind of what Graal is all about :)

If you don't manage to get your hat in, there's always shields and swords :)

hmm, maybe this will be reason to pick up the ol pixel maker again. What other options are there besides hats? Furniture/juggles/etc I am assuming?

If they are including juggling I would love a template. I would also like one for bouncy balls and pogos.

If you are going to submit a hat please don't submit it in multiple colors. You will not be given five of the same hat because it comes in recolors.
