Loot Selling NPCs
 

I figured I'd make a thread listing which NPCs take which loot.

So far the only ones is know are:

Floydian(southwest swamp) -fishing lure 15g

k dude, how do i actually sell them? i tap on the underwear but nothing happens. The NPC has a chat bubble with a green bubble though...

You should just use the item close to an NPC but it has to be an item that the NPC will buy.

Well the guy near sards buys everything for small amounts.. xD

Jack, what device are you on? I'm only allowed to sell items individually when using a computer...it does't work on iphones..or any other handheld devices.

My fat baby friend on VIP Island will buy the seashells. 10 gralats each ;)

I'm using my 5th gen iPod touch. I haven't tried it with anything else.

@Rose How much does each thing sell for? I don't feel like wasting my gralats on VIP seeing as I don't like this months item.

I'm sure in the next couple of days there will be several guides with the locations of everything including a complete list of whos buying loot and who is paying what for what items.

I'm waiting for some one to make a list of all the loot/items found by diving as well as which npc's buy which stuff.

jack, the pyrat near york fort. He will buy coins and weapons 12 each.

Jeez these items are worth more then 2-12 gralats just to hold. I would rather be able to pull out some of these cool items and show them to people then have an extra 2-12 gralats per item

The secret gnome shop (in the railway) buys gems. The black smith also buys bombs and arrows for 2g each and fashions bricks into furniture.

All the loot is being heavily monitored. Prices and spawn rates will be adjusted as needed to meet an ideal daily rate :)

Elster takes your whole collection

At a reduced price. He's there for convenience(though not every item can be sold at a premium, so he does have a purpose to buy all loot you can't sell otherwise).

I'm a bit confused as to how loot works? Once you get all the loot currently placed does it come back? Does it spawn in random spots in the railroad areas? Does it spawn in the same spots? I'm so confused, isn't loot what comes from the purple chests?

After obtaining flippers, swim around in water on the overworld. Little black dots spawn(client side I believe, that means you don't have to compete with other players as much :D ), these are spots where you can obtain loot assuming you know how to do it correctly.

You can get loot from either the purple chests, chests dropped by bandits, or diving. When diving, the spots that appear randomly spawn depending on certain factors(such as how often you have gotten items in that specific area that day. If you find that spots are no longer appearing, try another area). Purple chests refill every day(as explained by the notes in the bandit cave).

Assuming they're speaking of the zelda like old man, you can find the entrance after bombing a section of the wall on the right when you come into the railway cave from york town.

Gem is a type of loots? I never seen before

Updated original post with prices from Elster. I know Im missing stuff still so if anyone has things to add that would be great.

Pretty sure flails sold to the blacksmith go for 20 each(Not 100% sure though, my memory sucks :( )

I don't know about everyone else, but I personally don't sell, or plan on selling my loot. Not worth the amount of time to dive for it all in my opinion, is this really all we can do with it?

I'm much the same. You spend 1 hour looting for only perhaps 200g. Not worth the time in those regards, it's only because of my inner hoarder that I bother looting.

BTW Dusty kicked up the prices today so youre makin' more than just pennies for your pearls.

Also Im assuming theres a large number of loot items that ONLY Elster will buy. Correct? Incorrect?

O and Rafael (Black Orchid bartender, in mod town) buys dirty (5g) and shiny (12g) mugs, however he does not take bottles... and I have yet to find another generous bartender.

for anybody that didn't notice not only does the npc in tailor richards take durty undies he takes those discarded scarfs as well. So if you haven't figured it out npc's that have some sort of relation to the loot you pull up buy them. I.e blacksmith in snow buys weapons, little kid on beach buys shells,fish related stuff, tailor richards, clothing/fabric, pyrate on boat near york fort buys dabloons, rafeal in the black ordchid buys mugs, floydian (fisherman in south swamp buys fishing equipment,and ester buys everything. I'm still looking for others who may purchase loot.

btw I thought the prices where okay but a small increase doesn't hurt.

I also think its better to sell stuff individually in the long run instead of all at once to ester.

Yep, ill be adding the black orchid and the updated prices once I get out of class today. I also saw a few new things that people were getting that I didn't have.

I could convert the bricks into furnitures manually without going to the Blacksmith in Snowtown. What's the difference?

I myself have not found any bricks yet -.- so I can't say for sure. But from what I've seen there's no difference at all :/

who ever those underwear belonged to, they must have had a nasty case of explosive diarrhea. The stains didnt come out in the water and just look at them.. poo everywhere.

Pretty sure people in above posts said that the green beanie-clad gnome in the new furniture shop-cave buys gems... But thats not true...

So who does buy the stuff like pearls, rings, gold etc?..

That's the rumor, though I have no gems to confirm it. And as it stands no NPC that I know of takes them. I pretty much searched everywhere. Unless something was updated.

In other news I finally found the zorbi hat. Still no bricks though.
