My Halloween Idea
 

Here's just an idea and hoping to get some feedback for Zone Halloween 2013!

"Players can gift other players candy and little gifts on Halloween like Christmas on Classic. There are different rarities of each candy piece, resulting in a different prize each time you open the "wrapper" to the candy."

Tell me what you guys think...:D

Seems like an okay idea. However, people would most likely end up complaining about how they didn't get the prizes because no one gave them gifts, etc.

Perhaps iZone could take a bit of an iEra 2012 Graaloween approach and have some sort of trick-or-treating, in which you could get candy (health-replenishing items) and maybe a hat or two.

EDIT: Perhaps a quest could be made that utilizes some of the "useless" NPCs (e.g. Helpful Henry)?

Well yeah, anytime something is made, you will always have someone that complains.

Perhaps the "holiday shop" for Graaloween could be locked, and the only way to receive the key would be to complete the quest?

Also- Pumpkin shooters are a must.

Era didn't come up with the idea but they borrowed it. That was trick-or-treating in General, the main idea. So if we used it as well it wouldn't necessarily be copying since that's how it plays in real life Halloween.

Although something different would be nice.

Make sure no-one gives us juice or fruit instead of candy. What's the point of Halloween if you don't gain a few pounds?

I think there should be a quest and u get a hat for completing it and I o think trick or treating would be cool. Definitely have a Halloween shop :]

How about a simpler approach.
Pumpkin guns that shoots Pumpkin seeds, and a candy launcher!

My idea-A new Orange Planet appears in a Solar System by it self.On this Planet,there is a town filled with house and people ready to give candy.But if you go out of the town you will find these horrible mutant creatures ready to attack anything on sight.But there is a quest.You will need to find some of these creatures and get some items for this evil witch who doesn't live far from the town.Once you get this item she will give you a Pumpkin Key.That will then lead you to another Quest from Jack-o-Lantern.He want you to use this key to go in the doors of the Pumpkin Realm.Once your in there you need to collect 10 pumpkins to give to him so he can carve them a course.After that he will reward you will a book called"The Skeleton Manison".You will then need to go back to the witch and show it to her.She will then bring up a portal leading you to the Skeleton Manison.Finally the Skeleton King wants you to do is make his Bone Staff.The Bone Staff is made of different things.Once done you can use this Staff as a reward from him to give to a Skeleton Guard who always wanted to be Skeleton Mage but always wanted a staff first.He will then move and behind him will a hidden door leading to a Halloween Shop.

We go down to Classic and its deserted, dark, and Zombie Infested. We must do a certain quest down there, perhaps someone from Zone was left behind down there, and we have to save them. Prize could numerous things: hats, melees, guns, etc.

LORD YOU WIN A PRIZE.

So...like...after the Apocolypse Of Hats we have to save survivors that were evacuating Classic players.

Cool.

I like Cassie's idea. This keeps everyone from getting the same damn thing. But I've seen a lot of creative ways to obtain the candy. Maybe do your guys quest to get candy & you can repeat it to get more.

I too thought of that it would be a bit more zone fitting if it was an alien infection rather than zone and you could see some recognisable players like some admins and some of the more recognisable players maybe you could start of the quest by bernarts statue and try and make your way through to the center of infection (lag) graal city and defeat the boss of the aliens kate and her brain washed noobs

But seriously, you know how hard it would be to use Classic's tileset to do that?
Especially on such short notice...

Not very all there doing is copying the classic map and putting it into action
They could baricade ussles areas off

About my idea for a infection just do the survival not all the other details like loot, backpacks, crafting and all.

Just do the the zombies and maybe the zombies when killed drop special items :3

Cassie, Hadzz, you're correct. Tileset transfer would be cool IMO.

Your LATs wouldn't need to do anything, just copy the current area of Classic, just the main part of Graal City could be done. Just darken the tileset add some edits of the houses and stuff (ex: broken houses, blood spots, dead graalians).

Never mind though, Zone's staff (for the most part) are extremely lazy and hardly pooping out any updates. The last actual update was VIP on the 25th (late) and its now the 5th of September. Heck they've been working on the new tileset for months now, still nothing. Not sure I care anymore, probably play Zone 2 hours a week if that, can't stand to even stay online.

No. It's not like classic where "updates" are frequent. Hats only. LMFAO.

I'm not sure who to blame it on, but ya there's better games out there (obviously)

Don't say we're lazy, because we are not. What is it, Three huge projects were working on and one near completion? The one almost completed was started a month ago? Not lazy. You should never run your mouth and say we arnt doing anything when you're not behind the curtain. Tileset? Who ever said its NOT being worked on? It's always being worked on.
I literally work on GFX everytime I get the chance to get on my computer.

I can give you the numbers of ganis I have made. Any work I see I take and finish it. I'm known for taking too much of the work. My to-do list is never ending because of this when it nears the end I take more assignments. The other developers are working hard as well.

Don't blame iZone staff team for the amount of content they are putting out. It's not like Tashkin and the dev leaders have heaps of devs at their disposal for assignments like the other iDevice servers.
