GraalCon
I'm gonna change this strictly to talk about GraalCon since the other ideas have been basically ignored.
Annual Graal-Con So every year we could have a fun convention for the players. 10-20 players would be chosen to host small booths displaying fun activities and games, or perhaps be speakers or be interviewed. (Keep in mind this is Virtual, no one has to fly to San Diego or something and sit at a booth yelling "FREE GRALATS!") Each booth could (possibly) have a freebie, which, if needed, could be made by the player hosting the booth. In the end, everyone who attended (whether it's a booth host or a volunteer for freebie making or whatever), might get like a Graal-Con hat or something cool (this is optional). I think this would be really fun for the players and semi-simple to script. (Also, each player would have a booth design they could customize and send in.) |
Very nice! Keep up the good work kat :)

Hey, Jatz, I made you a sign. Cuz I was bored.
If you don't like it, 3 things can happen: I can change the text for you You can make your own sign OR You can redesign it with the template I made for you. Kthxbai PS: A good idea would to number all the booths. I could make a thing telling what all the booths are and whos in each one if you want. This would make it easier to find booths. |
I really like the idea of Graal Con! I find theres always a shortage of holiday events between Easter and Halloween, this could be the perfect thing to fill that gap.

But probably for next year we could do that. :) |
I think it would be ideal for a time of year that has no holiday. However, aren't the staff busy enough with holiday programming?

All you do is you need an Lat to design the booth layout, then maybe a couple npcs and adding the freebies in. Maybe some other stuff but I'm not a scripter so I wouldn't know. |
Lol, should be more like 'GraalCon, because everyone else gets one too!'
xD love the idea, gonna be fun |

Know what'd be a great booth? One with cake. :D |
Hey, I have a funny idea... What if we expand the graalcon idea and the staff could include previews or "tv promotions" on screens to show what they are working on. Like a visual display of what's to come.

Im not disagreeing with your idea. Its awesome and its one heck of an awesome idea but when it comes to iEra, it doesn't fit just right in. while iClassic is all about social experiences, iEra feels like its a game based all around power. You first start off as a weak defenseless mob but when the cash rolls in, you start to feel like you have power. With this power, you can run a gang and take over parts of the Era world. From there, Gang-only spots will open to only your gang, making you feel like you have absolute power over the area. iEra is all about power, respect, and gralats. Its like one of those mob games that makes you wanna stand on top of all others... However, if there is some way you can get the Graal-Con to make it fit to the style of iEra, i'd be more than happy to come see your Graal-Con kat :) |
Yes, this is a great idea!

This is for the players on Era who want to socialize and just have some fun. As for the ones who aren't, who knows, there might be a interview with a famous PKer or something :P |

Not bad :) +Rep |
It's a pretty cool idea. There should be some sort of area to try out future weapons in, kinda how they let people try new stuff in other conventions. Like, a big arena where everyone gets armed with a novus blade or something, removed when this event ends, and last man standing gets an ec

I definitely love this idea, and I'd be so excited if this happens. :D But, going along with Maikeru a bit here, I joined iClassic because it was more social-themed than iEra. I wasn't really interested in the whole mob things, never was. But now iEra gets the GraalCon? Doesn't seem really fair to me. I mean, sure, I can start a new account on iEra, but I invested so much in my iClassic account. I don't think I'd be the only case that would feel this way. Maybe there can be one for iEra & iClassic?

I'm just saying this is a fun idea in general. I originally played Classic until about 350 hours, in which I figured out that the community of Era was much more fun and open to people like me and that the updates were better by far, so I switched. Ever since I've been an Eran. I'm not saying there cant be a GraalCon for Classic, I just have a feeling they'd turn it into another sell-hats-and-morphs-for-ridiculous-prices-so-people-will-buy-gralat-packs-and-we-can-make-money events. Either that or something lame with a ton of hats. Because thats how Classic works. This is supposed to be a fun event that isn't all profitable, just to simply enjoy. Nowadays on Classic everythings based off players either buying packs or farming for hours on end, which isn't much fun in my opinion. Quote:

You guys have GST, we don't. |

Its too laggy and the judges will ban you from other GST's if you won 1 game of GST (They're trying to make it equal to everyone, not competitive) |

It's a great idea but to everyone who's asking it to show future updates, that is obviously not going to happen. The staff have a strict policy of showing unreleased stuff to the playerbase for whatever reason that is. I love the idea from kat though =].
