Do Admin's Abuse Their Powers?
 

Well this question has been puzzling me for a very long time.One of my friends had just applied for GP and was excepted,except he told me how he would use his powers as an admin.How easy is it to apply for GP,just put anything you want and what they want to hear in the boxes.Except i was truthful on my GP application and was.not accepted.So my friend stays GP for two weeks,after those two weeks he was fired for abusing his powers.Some admin's just want to be admin's to show off,abuse their powers,threaten players with their powers,and some just want to help the Graal Community.Sometimes i have been banned by admin's for no absolute reason,it has happened to many,how can we get truthful admins to help the Graal Community.

Less prideful admins who get extremely defensive over a flaw of theirs are abusive, but never caught.
Oh, and they're usually well known.
I do happen to like a few, however, so I'm pretty sure that means there are a few truthful ones who understand what they've done wrong.

Of course the "admins" are abusive. That's what happens when you give teenagers power over other teenagers in a game where having certain stuff dramatically raises your online social status.

Ya, true story. It's just that some of the abuse that is done is probably not very significant and none of us will ever know about it. It'll happen, that's just Graal.

I think admins aren't suppose to tell anyone that they are admin. All GPs should stop towering or sparring on their player account. Start stalking on suspicious players. Who glitch, hack or cyber bullying. It's not the first time I am seeing this. They are on their player account, but not on their administration account. Not much time they are on.

What's the problem then? He was abusing his powers... and he was fired. Sounds like the right course of action.

Highly doubt it. Lots of people who do stupid **** and break the rules claim ignorance. Even if you were wrongfully banned, it's easy to get it looked into. I know I was questioned for banning someone from feedback yesterday within 5 minutes of doing so.

I wanted to post this question in the applying for gp thread,but its closed so I will post it here. Maybe an admin can answer it for me.

I have been seeing global broadcast messages daily sometimes twice daily it seems asking ppl to apply for gp or gfx admin. I was wondering how long does it take to hear back from the admins when you apply? I had an admin friend tell me it took two weeks for them to hear back,but I figure with the amount of broadcasts there was a more urgent need and would hear back sooner.

As far as the thread goes. I don't think admins should have to quit all aspects of the game when they become admin. As in you cant have a personal player account and still play and have fun. I know admins get grief from other players because they feel as tho they are using there admin status to gain an advantage.

Maybe admins should have to create a different nickname when they first get their admin account and shouldn't be allowed to tell anybody they are an admin or risk losing their job as admin. I think there would be less issues if admins weren't associated with their player accounts.

That would be nice but when a admin isn't on his admin account and you want to ask him a question... what do you do? You're not going to feedback your question each time!

On Classic PC, staff members were allowed to PK and stuff with staff tag on, but you were not allowed to use any staff tools around players. Not allowed to run across map on boots, stand on trees or buildings. The manager and other staff members paid attention, and you could have your staff tools temporarily removed if caught.

I know nothing about the state of classics GPs but I'm proud to say era has really cracked down on their abusive PRs. They not only fire their staff account, but jail their player account.

That's bull****. How can you reset someone and jail them forever? They could've spent hundreds of dollars on the game.

Graal has never been fair or cared about how loyal you have been.

It gives you an incentive not to abuse. I like it. You need to crack down harder on abusers, oh and I never said reset.

I think some 2010 players might remember this one. There was once a staff named *Ed, he wore a white fish head with a turban hat (before they were sold in Nafet's). He used to go around in the fan killing players while on Godmode and used all sorts of tools like the super bombs, nukeshots, dragging, etc. If you were in the fan when he was, you knew the best option was to stay clear and run because you'd regret pissing him off. That sort of thing doesn't happen as much as it used to back then. Nowadays, I hardly see staff unless they're at an event or if you reported someone. Staff abuse is something that went downhill on iClassic if you ask me.

You are calling them abusive. In other games, you can't even talk to managers unless you call and get transferred 100 times.

I still haven't gotten my question answered. How long does it take to hear back once you submit your gp application? After hearing that Windwolve was leaving today I was also starting to wonder how many gp spots they are going to fill?

It can take up to 2 months. Be patient.

I heard 2 weeks then with in 3 hours then I heard up to 1 month

The past week or so Ive had two friends banned for 2weeks for saying "feg." Apparently the GP who saw it took offense by the common middle school insult. This is ridiculous. This shouldnt be a reason for ban unless theyre gonna ban for EVERY other swear-filter evasion (which is impossible).

My opinion on hiring GPs:
-Age limit seriously needs to be 18.
-Anyone who cannot complete a sentence without a ":3" or "<3" does not need to be hired.
-If you still have a hard time using RC a week after being hired, yu should be fired.
