Yes i know this has been done many times but it's a new year and there are alot of new sparrers and i just wanted to know what you think.

Hi Pal, welcome to the forums. Glad to see your first few threads have to do with sparring, I like it. However, allow me to outline an unfortunate theme that has plagued this forum.

Sparring is basically a forbidden topic of discussion here, because the iClassic (or maybe even entire Graal) community seems offended by being shown outright that they are worse (or better, I guess) than a player at some element of this game in a very practical and straightforward way. The general community seems more interested in team-based parts of the game, like towering and "guild sparring." I theorize that this is because, if they lose, they cannot be pointed at directly and be told that they didn't do well. They can instead put that burden on the entire group of players on their team. It is much easier to be better at these parts of the game because it is harder to determine who is worse, whereas in a spar you can get stomped in a very personal, 1-on-1 match over and over again and have no excuse to fall back on.

Here is a list of people that you might be interested in observing in the Battle Arena:

• Everyone in US and Alumni (mostly the same people anyway)
• Sarah (forced to spar with delay to her location, extremely difficult and annoying to spar against)

That's all I can think of right now, actually.

Lol this is really your opinion. Some sparrers are much better than 3:1 or higher ratio sparrers. For example, few people from UN does not have very good spar records, but they are still better than most idevice though.

Pal. You can't tell top 10 overall sparrers. Instead you can look at spar rating ranking.

You have to phrase the question differently in a way that can personally affect someone based on their answer, otherwise it'll always be biased.

Something like, "If there was a 1 vs. 1 tournament today on iClassic and you were able to win a hat by correctly betting on who you think would win, who would you bet on?"

Me, obviously.

XD thats one of my new accounts,my main is like 700 spar wins to 220 spar losses.It's okay you can judge ne by that if you want.Oh and i wore the dress because me and my friends were just acting stupid.

1. T3CK
2. ethereal mirage
3. Thallen



But T3CK is only #1 when he is hot. When he's not hot he gets beaten by damn near everybody.

Glad you posted this, because ~6 hours ago that guy spent an entire hour harassing me, stalking me around the Battle Arena, and claiming that I intentionally avoid him in trembling fear of his sparring greatness. I only decided to acknowledge his fan-like behavior when he said that he'd quit Graal if I could beat him in a series.



You'll notice I didn't strafe a single time in these spars because I used my keyboard's arrow keys instead of IJKL, to intentionally handicap myself, because it was hard for me to take this challenge seriously. I'm thoroughly embarrassed that I lost the 1 spar to him, but I'll post this anyway in hopes that he'll keep his word.

Huh, I can strafe with my arrow keys. Must be my 2001 keyboard. this is where i'd insert a :cool: face but this **** forum doesn't have one!

My keyboard is 10 days old and I can do that aswell so no :cool:

Ya, I think most older/cheaper or non-gaming keyboards don't ghost. I use Razer BlackWidow, every key other than WASD and IJKL ghosts for me. I'm honestly not sure of what purpose it serves.

Like I said a few days ago though, it says something about you when my own guild treats me like a God when I get a few good victories over you. When I beat ethereal nobody gives a crap.

Sooo, so, so sad. This guy is on a whole different level of delusional. Awake at 7 AM EST, getting emotional support from random noobs about his embarrassing loss. This is why the entire sparring community has been mostly trash for the past few years, IMO. No one cares about improving and winning, they care about talking themselves up and making these excuses.
