Yaaaayyy. Screw the railroad station when we can get two new hats ^~^

Absolutely groundbreaking :.0 They should feel proud.

Why exactly is it that staff have no clue when they should cut it out with the hats? Yes, players like hats. But every update since who knows how long, as well as being infrequent? It gets annoying. Big stuff is often promised and never gotten around to, I know. But keep in mind so far "We've added 2 hats to X!" Has become the norm on the newsfeed. It has seriously become outright annoying.
|
What's classic without hats though?
|
And the hats 97% of the time basically suck.

What I'm saying is that that there are enough cosmetics updates for now. If hats were dropped for a period of time, maybe they could get things done. |

Wanna know something more annoying than the hats?

I'd rather big updates be released in fragments. Not teasers like the Golden Gate, Elster's Cave, and the Gnome Cave where they put something out there and it sits there for years without anything being done. Not large gaping movie-like cliff hangers like the scarf quest where it's all this build up, build up, build up, CLIFF HANGER! Part 2 in theaters Summer 2015, where it's just only good for a day or two then after a week or so everyone realizes nothing will be done for a long time again. Instead updates should be done slowly with small rewards to keep players on their toes. That way someone can notice a small change one day and then the next everyone is turning Graal upside down for a couple of days then something new is released then players go wild again at the change. It'll eventually build up, build up, build up until it all starts to morph into something huge. Take for example, a new building opening up. You see it there one day with an NPC that briefly talks about, everyone gets hyped. It lasts for a few days. Then the next somebody finds an NPC lost somewhere (this event will not trigger until you've talked to the NPC out the building), talk to him blah blah, etc. you get the idea. Then next you may have to find something, let's say say a key, return it to him then after whatever such amount of time you can then access the building which could be something like a shop, arena, mini game, boss or repeatable quest like Pyrat Bay. This could also apply to seasonal or random events such as nexus where you help with setting up by looking for objects related to the theme. It's much more fun and interactive than having 50 million people crowd the entrance just for them to spend gralats then after that they're bored again. Instead, players are given a small fun task to do before they can enter and buy things. Entertainment comes along with customization. As a player, there's nothing more that pisses me off than teaser updates. Building a super cool giant building in front of us then saying we can't come in doesn't make us think progress is being made. It makes us feel like we're being humiliated with the long wait with false hope right in front of us. I really enjoyed the scarf quest, when it lasted. I love things like that that make you run around the map with all your friends trying to put things together. It's way more interactive and challenging than blocking a door or swinging a sword in every direction if you ask me.

I would rather have new content(NOT hats...) implemented in the game, more than hats, the hats are getting expensive, and new content is better than just 2-3 hats a update :/
|
I'm just tired of Graal altogether...I swear, I like Graalians.com and my Graal FB more than the actual game. That's just me. Had some good times on Classic, and the last thing I want to do is blame staff for my recent lack of enjoyment.
|
Lets just pretend the people that make hats could make quest
|
I think we (the players) are overall just sick of the fact we get hats, hats and more hats. I'd much rather have the railroads released or as I always say a quest continued or released.

They should just focus on content and use player-made hats for events and shops. Or even make a gfx team specifically for hats so some actual content can be made.

I say we wean players off the hats, bodies, horses ect. By slowly releasing content that has nothing to do with that junk until people forget about hats.
|
I want dat fishin' rod, yo.
Oh, and the hats aren't bad. I mean I don't feel compelled to purchase them but they look cool. Btw, ditto to everyone who said they've been bored with Classic lately, I have been a bit as well :o |
I could care less about hats that are sold. I'd rather have a more unique hat, either earned with a guild, or some staff hosted event. One thing I hate above all, is that when there's an above average hat released, I can bet every scrub within 100 tiles of the Burger Refuge has it as well..
