What is wrong with pay2win? Whoever made the game has to make money somehow and everyones complaining like the only way to get gralats is by using real life currency. People are just lazy. Digging some shells, it took me and a few buddies a week to dig for a pbp.

Well unfortunately some of us have lives. We don't have time to slave away digging shells for little to no profit. Yah the developers have to make money but there's a point where it just needs to stop. You can have some in-app purchases in games but then there is a point where it's basically all in-app purchases which is becoming the case in Era.

Not every online f2p game is pay2win. Look at Dota 2, you cannot get any advantage by spending money-you just buy cool cosmetic stuff, which can even be earned in game.

There is a fine balance that can be struck between free to play and p2w (see TF2, Dota etc), but Era has gotten kind of ridiculous. At least in some games (TF2) etc, even those with less weapons can have an advantage because of their skill, but games like Era take very little more than holding down the shoot button with a gun that you shelled out lots of cash for.

It's sad, really. I really want to love Era

Yeah, that works as an example too, in fact it's a better one because more people are familiar with it. The only think it isn't perfect with though is for content that requires money to access like snowtown where you need a lantern(unless they changed that?)

Era is p2w not everyone wants to waste a week digging admins should keep all guns under 40k and change the m4 back to 4.5k so that new players can get a good gun wihout wasting real money

You're saying it's bad to pay money for a game, but it's not bad to spend your time farming for the item yourself. It's your money or your life, pick one.

I agree as well, but it simply cannot be done as we'd have to issue compensation for the owners of guns that got nerfed and charge owners of guns that got buffed - something that just can't be done due to a random influx of Gralats in the economy and player complaints. The truth is, Era ****ed up the future of gun balance the minute it was decided that there would be a HUGE price and performance gap between tiers, which is a major problem for any game.
