Expired - Classic iPhone GP/Uploader Application
 

Hello fellow Graalians! :D

Since a few of you are still confused, I'll post here how to apply for Classic iPhone Graal. To start off here is the basic Graal Online Classic application:
1. What is your name in-game?-
2. How old are you?-
3. What country do you live in?-
4. How long have you been playing Graal? Have you ever played the PC Version? If so, what is your account there?-
5. How long do you expect to hold this position?-
6. How often can you be online and working?-
7. Why should we choose you?-
8. Do you have any prior knowledge of Graal RC (Remote Control)? If so, what do you know how to do?-
9. Why do you wish to be part of the Graal Staff team?-
10. Do you currently hold any Staff positions on PC Graal? If so, what server, and what position do you hold? How long have you held that position?-
11. What Time Zone do you live in?-
12. Tell us about yourself. If you feel there is anything we should know, please state it here.

Please note this is just basic info in preparation for an interview you'll have with myself or another staff member. While there is no age requirement, we expect you to be mature and responsible enough to handle the job. We require that you keep to a task assigned to you. Abusing powers by dragging players, showing off, bragging, being immature, or any other type of power abuse will resolve in being fired without warning.

When I was first hired on as GP Administrator, I added on an auditing system. If hired, you may be at anytime audited to ensure you're staying on task. Example of the auditing system will include how fast a GP will respond to basic issues noticed around Graal (reports, feedback, glitchers). Failure to respond fast enough while on duty can resolve in being fired.

Things that you might want for the interview will include a copy of your application on hand, any levels you would like to show off (If you want to apply for LAT as well), and extra information you would think worth mentioning to brighten your chances to being hired.

Things I look at in applications and interviews. I do background checks. What guilds you were/are in, previous bans, hours on Graal, experience, people skills, exc. If you lie at anytime during your application or interview your chance in becoming a staff member is gone. (This happens a lot :/ )

We are primarily looking for GPs/Uploaders. If you apply for Uploader than if hired, your job will include uploading everybody's uploads than doing GP work. If applied and hired as GP than your job will be primarily patrolling and responding to reports and feedback. Your job as GP will also include Player Relations.
If hired, leaking any information learned will resolve in being fired and banned without warning. In some cases while patrolling you might run into guild pictures with nudity on them. All staff members have the power to remove guild pictures like such. You will be required to report these incidents to myself or other management for further investigation, though you will be required to ban and delete the guild picture/leader. Any leaked or unprofessional posts outside Graal on forums, facebook, etc will resolve in being fired/possibly banned without warning.
Facebook, Graalians.com, and Skype is NOT the place to send your application to me. Unless asked by me, always send to [email protected].

If you believe you fit everything posted above please email [email protected] with the subject with something along the lines of "Application for *what your applying for*" I check these emails. If you don't hear a reply back don't think your being ignored. Please don't spam staff members about your application. Please don't spam me in game about conducting an interview. I will contact you.

I would also like to add that telling a close friend information that has already been released to the public by Azrael on his blog is in fact considered "leaking information". It will not only get you fired, but also a global ban from Graal.

This should be stickied.

One thing I was wondering about:

Let´s say you want to apply for being GP and you get accepted. But after a while you want to go over to the LAT team, would that be possible?

My question about this is if it's a job you have to do all the time when you play them game. It would be nice to have breaks and hang with friends. Also, about the auditing system I was wondering what if you had to do something in real life and someone reported another person. Would you just have to log off if you have to do something? Lastly, is the interview just on Graal or is it over Skype or something of that matter?

@Tyler: You have breaks on your ipod, i think.
You need to do your job while beeing online with your staff account- but you should be open for questions while on idevice too. If someone pms you a question, and you just answer "i dont have to answer you because this is my ipod" for example, then thats not the right job for you, in my opinion :)

We understand there's situations in real life where you could get busy. A simple "brb" in RC can help in these situations or just logging off. I can assure you that we would never remove somebody for failing a audit if their not online/afk.

If your on your ipod you don't have to be doing any kind of work whatsoever. You can hang out with your friends and do normal player stuff. But while your on pc we Really don't want you just messing around and hanging out with friends for long periods of time. After doing basic Gp work for a while we'll give rights to give away prizes n such. So a "break" could involve you doing an event of your choice for example.

Interviews I've been doing on Skype. Skypes our goto source outside of Graal for now. If your prefer to do the interview by just typing I'm fine with that.


If you show your dedicated enough/show your good at LAT work, Azrael would switch you over from GP to LAT.

That clears a lot of my questions, thank you. I'd probably choose a typing interview since I get nervous talking over Skype with people and often mess up what I'm trying to say, but if necessary I would do a Skype interview.

One last question from my side:
As a GP I´m sure you won´t always hang around on iClassic. So how close would you take an eye of the admin, for how long he´s on iClassic and for how long he´s on any other server?

You're allowed to play on other servers. But if you're absent from classic iphone for to long we would remove you for being inactive.

Staff that tells management that they will be absent for a while due to things such as school, vacation, work n such won't be removed. If gone for an overly extensive time that they might be removed but would most likely be readded.

Read the thread. You're only supposed to send applications to his email if he asked you. If he didn't, then send it to [email protected].

I PMed you my application, I also added you on Skype and I went ahead and PMed you on Graal too. You must be getting loads of GP apps and be very bush right now!

I'd actually be a good amount of help considering I know how to make levels and graphics too. I can use RC flawlessly.

Maybe that's something to put in your application.

I did, I also put that I messed with the online level editor on Lexia.

I kinda applied and matt still had to check my background, well that was two weeks ago. its so hard to catch matt online o.O lets hope this works out

I'm betting the people going to be hired are popular people who know staff members. Eg, just a guess.

Not necessarily, the whole point of the application is for the Staff to get an idea of what people they don't know are like. Staff members hire people they know because they already have a good idea of their personality and maturity. The application process is so others who would make good candidates can have the chance.
