Pretty cool, got $2.50 in paypal credit so far

Higbey 11-14-2011 03:50 AM

I dont see how this would work. If the app is free I don't see any way this could genuinely work to make money for the apps developer In a efficient way without breaking apples rules.

Chaotic 11-14-2011 04:20 AM

I dont know how it works but it does

If you use my code you get points towards your giftcard, so if you get it use my code "wgriffin" please

Thanks so much <333

Ads, and the apps that you have to download for credits pay them.

The owners of the apps from the trailers probably pay them to feature their app and we get rewards for watching these apps. Each time someone uses another persons bonus code the person who owns the code gets 100 points and the person who typed and entered the code gets 25.

1: download app trailers
2: set up account
3:jailbreak device
4:fake your device id to make a bunch of accounts to refer yourself.
5:turn in credits for money via paypal
Can someone test this?

I usually think these things are a scam, but this seems legit.

Higbey 11-15-2011 01:28 AM

Just a quick note: If you haven't noticed already, App Trailers and AppRedeem are both scams.

The apps can be counted as adware; unwanted advertising. They are paid by other providers to advertise their apps in the hopes of tricking you into buying them.

How this works is that they attract victims into downloading them by offering rewards such as Amazon, PayPal, or iTunes vouchers. In return, you must watch a certain amount of trailers or download a certain number of their apps (these usually contain yet more advertising), as well as refer other users to download them (hence, increasing the audience).

By doing these, you accumulate points. However, you need a huge amount of points before you can claim a gift, which means watching a lot of trailers, buying a lot of apps, and tricking a lot of other people into joining this system.

When you do manage to acquire a gift code, it will turn out to be an invalid code, or sometimes they will say you need to do yet more advertising for them, hence restarting the cycle again.

Please don't fall into this trap. >_<

-midori koyaboshi

knew it. nothing is free, no way that they would be able to generate enough revenue from the trailers to be able to give the codes, its just another clever crook making money off gullible people that fall for the trap.

it seems like some users can get it to work, other times it doesnt, maybe it only gives a valid code sometimes, or maybe theres a glitch in the system from people abusing it.

MrSimons 11-15-2011 01:34 AM

App Trailers=free along with everything else

yes but the owners are making money off the revenue from the ads and trailers, and aparently some of the apps you need to download for it cost money

You dont actually need to download the apps for points, but ya ur right its still a scam one way or another.

Greengaw 11-15-2011 02:20 AM

Lol MSM already got an itunes giftcard from it.

Unused_1 11-15-2011 02:59 AM

This is legit actually.. I just claimed my $10 iTunes code, and it worked :P
So this is not a scam. At first I thought it was, until I got 1,000 points and actually used them to get the $10 code. This is legit !

Tyler 11-15-2011 03:08 AM

I honestly don't think this is a scam. If they make you buy apps then yese it's a scam, but all you have to do is watch videos. They probably get paid a lot just to show videos of other apps on their app so they can definitly afford the rewards.

Chaotic 11-15-2011 03:11 AM

The way I see it, it can't have 5 stars in the App Store if it was a scam.

Cat612 11-15-2011 07:24 AM

Most of the apps are free anyways, I've already got like $5 on PayPal, it's legitimate.

Tizzee 11-15-2011 01:57 PM

nice. Is that working for euros too? *o*

Peter 11-15-2011 02:44 PM

There must be a catch somewhere. It'll be matter of time before something big happens.

Floyd Heart* 11-15-2011 02:47 PM

I actually still saw the option when I checked. I clicked on it to make sure it wasn't removed and it's still there.

Cat612 11-16-2011 07:06 PM

It's still there, there are glitches in the app that remove stuff, just try logging in and out, and redownloading the app

Thunderstorm 11-17-2011 09:44 AM

Create a fake iTunes account. Than you can download the app and change back to your default iTunes.

Rexx 11-17-2011 03:12 PM

I'm getting tired of people pm'ing about this stupid crap asking me to enter their code.

Get a day job

Shock 11-17-2011 09:36 PM

I don't care what it is. It seems quite risky. I'll stay out of it. However, those who don't, happy trails!

i enterd you code :)

but how do you actually get the itunes money?

NCJohn 11-17-2011 11:32 PM

I don't understand why people act as if App Trailers is some sort of devil-worshipping cult that you have to sell your sould to the devil to get iTune cards. Its 100% safe; your not giving out any personal information. Then you have the people (classic staff) who try to argue that it is a pyramid scheme when they obviously dont even know the definition of a pyramid scheme. In order for it to be a pyramid scheme you would have to be proffiting off of anyone who is reffered by the poeple you reffered. Also since the people you refer are making money for saying that you reffered them its not a pyramid scheme because its not like they are making an investment. >.<
