Squad Milestones and Rewards
 

With Obsidian recently hitting 1k in planet time, I think it is time to introduce some squad planet taking milestones. This is what I have set.

1k Hours - Squad hat for 15 members. Must be made by a member of theirs or one of our graphics team members if available. No stolen hats will be accepted.

5k Hours - (iffy on this one). A custom robotic pet for 10 members of the squad. Must follow the basic outlines/templates of the already uploaded pets.

10k Hours - A public squad hangout near the park on the planet with all the lobbies. The Gmap is big enough to be able to support a lot of these and would fit perfectly in. Must be created by their members or by a levels staff member if available.

15k (20k?) Hours - (this is iffy as well, don't know if I wish to go this high) A custom gun for 10 squad members. Or just a reskin option of a current gun. Iffy subject seeing as Stefan doesn't want any new guns made, but we will see over time.

Also with some squad v squad events in production, this is a good time to bring up Squad points.
Once we incorporate squad v squad activities, I also want to bring into play a point system. During major squad V squad events (meaning staff hosted) the winning squad gets a point. There will be a squad shop in which the leader of the squad can use points to buy some cool stuff for the squad such as 10 points = able to recruit 5 more people. 50 points = one more ally spot etc


Tell me your opinions and feedback. Again, all of these may change and they are just a layout for now. The 1k milestone will be set seeing as Obsidian has reached that point.

I don't agree with prizes limited to a number of people within the squad. Everyone (or most everyone,) worked in the squad and everyone should be rewarded.
And as for the gun, I don't think a new gun should be made, but just a reskin given out.

Thing is, on zone people that aren't even in the squad can help just be tapping join attack on blah blah. It also promotes active members when they know they will only get the prize if they give their best effort.

I agree keep up the good word dev team ur doing great but you should add a smaller milestone at 2500 like custom starter knife or something

All these Ideas sounds terrific! But I got to disagree on one thing. In my opinion, there should be no limit on how many squad members gets the hat. Like honestly... I see a lot of people putting in work, contributing to the squad and a lot of them do deserve the hat. But as of right there isn't enough spot for everyone.

I have to disagree with you, there are people that duke will give ranks too that will betray us I don't want every player in zone having this besides all the non ranked get kicked when offline also we dont know who we cant trust like :stush, nictuco, funk, aphex, solmancer(gunner) they have all betrayed us and have continued to rejoin for the squad hat.

How about if you are in the squad, you lose your hat when you leave the squad, and to get it back you must grab a npc that has one? And a staff member makes it only allow chosen players by the leader?

It's not much of a reward if anyone can wear it then. Again, I go back to my first post.

I spoke with Duke about the 1k hours reward, and seemed okay with it. He actually thought it was only going to be 10 people, so I don't have any intentions on changing that one at all really.

Do they follow you around the gmap? Can you program them to do tricks once you say certain words? Are you even able to take them outside your house? If not then those are not pets, merely furniture. If you want to call those pets however, classic had them about a year before era.

no. I am not going to make it so a squad HAS to planet take to get cool things. Planet taking squads is only a part of the squads out there.

Are you trying to make it so that one squad isnt able to be the best at everything?

Pleaseee a plack never hurt anyone :( and players will eventually ask when time has past who got 100hrs first/2nd/3rd etc[many don't even know who got that on classic and era-let zone be different] so it would be nice to remember them old squads as they was first to accomplish the mini but still a first milestone for squads.

I honestly don't want 5k to be custom robot. A lot of others would agree. Rather get another hat!

Does obsidian really deserve anything? they just jumped from era to zone and sat around doing nothing for 1k, no challenge at all

Actually I came from classic and joined Obsidian. Same with anotehr core member Lord. Your statement is false. Just letting you know we actually defend A LOT. Think before you post please.
