New gps/admins
 

Why does it seem that unsuitable people are becoming admins? And it seems ot only be people that know admins become them? Its almost impossible to catch matt and talk to him?

I don't really know how the system works or how people are picked, but from what I've seen people have either made contributions to Graal or know an admin well and have been asked or has asked to be an admin.

Ik a very unsuitable person who is a trial gp not saying who..

She may be diff but from how she acted normally she seemed unfit.. Just saying and yeah i understand tyler :/ id like to know how there picked

Its hard to make contributuions unless u are a admin?

Contributions such as submitting hats for Graal to use in the stores. Remember the Easter and St. Patricks Day Hats submitted by users?

It SEEMS like that because ya'll playa hatin'. Always when a chunk of new hires come around there's a posting complaining about that. My guess is that they want to be staff.


I only recruit who I know and who I trust because I want to make sure they are trustworthy and amazing. I don't JUST required people who are my friends. I have some good friends on the game that I can never hire because I know they aren't mature enough or something else... If they are worth talking to and I get to know them, I can see them as a good GP if I just help them along the way. Also, I pretty much train them 2 months ahead of time (in terms of attitude, RC, etc) before they get recruited so they know exactly how to act when the time comes. Anyone I get hired is always pretty damn amazing. Arichi and Prince Charming are great additions.

So really, there is no point in applying for any staff position if you don't know any staff or aren't in a staff guild[Cause this is all staff's recruiting methods]... geez graal is literally becoming like Illuminati

Only players staff know(or liked at firsted glance-_-) getting recruited,
I'm yet to see someone recruited who hasn't been in an staff guild or doesn't know any admins; really it looks like they get recruited as they are a 'friend' rather than what they know.

And even though i think im eledgeble (unbiased based) for a trial gp i cant even talk to matt for interview or application

Nyn its impossible to get to know someone or any admins becaus b&y zanza nd magic are the most exlusive guilds...

of course it's pre-determined they aren't going to pick people at random.

honestly it's not hard to get in admin guilds.

Look, when a staff is hired in a dev position they have to show their work, have some credentials, and act professionally. When you hire a GP you need to know that they will deal with the players well and react in a positive manner. You have to know someone relatively well to decide that. It's harder to pick a GP based off an application when you havn't talked to them, and gotten to know them. So, the reason that many of the GPs know or are friends of current Gps is because they can trust the people they're hiring.

Maybe start with good English? I heard that this should also be good. Also begging like hell won't always help. Do something. Skype Matt, send him FB messages or whatever.

Are you an admin? If you are looking for members to let them become admins me an a friend are great for the job.

Apply for the job -.- And you need GOOD reasons and experience, responsibility, maturity, the time, etc.

I didn't know any admins and I became one. I decided I didn't like it and got myself fired, but you get the point lol.

Omg Skill. I never remember you being admin but stop talking about it. Most people here have been admins, if not on a iServer then on PC or a playerworld. One time being an admin on iClassic or iEra for Im guessing a small time is not that big of a deal. Stop thinking it makes you better than most people.

Yeah Shaun is right, it's not a big deal. You always bring up the fact that you WERE staff and then you act immaturally on the forums; to be honest, nobody wants to hear it :p

I've probably been staff on a few different servers, not any iServers though. I bet 99% of the forum members don't give a ****..

How do you even apply... The person you send applications to never gives you a response

I think like a month or two back you could send Matt your application on his facebook page.

You need to Skype Matt, his username is in his status it's like "Malkarais109" or something. And CALL him not just chat.

Anyone who talks to me on any social medium. Including this and facebook. I don't limit myself to my guilds. Prince Charming for example wasn't really in Magic, nor did I talk to him in game. I got to know him through here and I liked what he had to say after I talked to him via private encounters. He also didn't go complaining about stuff. The #1 thing I look for in a potential staffmember is someone who has never complained about something minuscule.

I don't think being an admin makes you better than most people -_- if I did then why would I be such an admin hater...

ashamed for being fired? why would I be ashamed for being fired from helping out on some kids mmo for ipod? It's not like my life is screwed because of it, it just means I can't be an admin on Graal anymore lol. And tbh I've always hated admins, even before and while I was a gp. I merely became one because the opportunity came and I wondered what it was like working on Classic iPhone so I decided to apply as was hired rather easily. Then I decided I hated it after like 3 days and got myself fired lol.

I just gave out a bunch of info about upcoming releases. I'm not even going to bother to post it here because it's probably not even accurate anymore(was supposed to come out months ago, never did)

I honestly dont know why you guys are complaining, alot of the admins are doing a terrific job, expecially NYN, Furryamigo, and Azreal. Admins are giving us awesome updates and really cool gfx and new levels. And i wouldnt fuss with NYN guys, hes right about alot of things, also admins are trying to keep graal together, it may not seem like it to some of you but they are seriously working for good updates. im really excited for whats coming in deadwood too, like Murder Mystery Theater, and The Dark Side of the Garden. So why are you guys complaining?

I don't know. Maybe it's the fact that it's becoming a giant mall? Hooray! Useless graphics and ganis and mounts that have insane prices! It seems like people that arent even official staff are adding most of the content, like Rufus and Fp4z

not so true, alot of other admins are adding things to graal. like for example Furryamigo put a bunch of effort into Nexus when it opened in October, and Azreal and EllyBelly (i think thats who it was) along with the rest of the guild, made Murder Mystery Theater which i think will make a big sucsess.

Nah. Just When I'm bored. If enough people get upset I may be able to organize something with a alt account I have and make a big finale for when I quit graal and stop going on fb and graal as much (ie in college when I've got too much work to waste time)

Unlike some people(you know if im talking to you) I don't need to know admins personally to have them notice me. And I don't want to be GP, if an admin offered me to be a GP today I would decline. Admins have asked me for graphics. Here's some examples(btw I wouldn't be surprised if nobody ever cares that this post existed.)
FloridaOranges(Classic GP)~requested I make him a head.
Haro(Zenkou admin)~requested some of my hats.
Vyse Feare(Classic GP)~Assigned me to the Art Core of his guild.

Who cares? Also what does a zenkou admin have to do with iClassic admins? Doesn't seem to fit for me. And making some stuff for 3 people wouldn't really make you an admin. And pretty much everyone would say yes if some admin would give you the chance.

As for getting Skill fired, I can vouch that he did not want to be fired at all and was extremely angry with me for reporting him for leaking information to me.

But if he wasn't pretending to be all high and mighty he'd have even less respect.
