1/12/12 - Day of Boosting
 

Today I took a look at the leaderboard seeing 37 people with over 1,000 kills. I think "mod must be hell", but no there was a huge boost fest at swamp all day. "How's it boosting? If people wanna kill in a massive crowd let them and stop whining b****" for the people thinking that let me explain. When you enter swamp town you gotta go through that tight space between the cliffs. This is where the boosting took place. If you stand there long enough it'll automatically drag you down. So I stood there and when I died, everytime I got up I died again and again as people boosted off me. Notice my screen as I get up im at 0.5 again and I die instantly. You can see my screen keep blacking out lol. For people who are lost, I will post 2 videos showing you exactly what I mean, as I know my explanation probably sounds messed up.

okay looking at the videos thats a serious bug, im hoping staff will go and reset those players who gained those scores and appear in that video.

41 people with over 1k kills now. If you see this, I'm sorry Roxas but this is bull**** I won't stand for.

Not positive but I noticed a massive amount of people with ridiculous amounts of kills when I first checked leaderboard at around 2 pm est. I heard all day though. Roxas has 7,000 kills nearly from this.

I think all kills for the day should be reset unless someone has a better suggestion that will get everyone who got over 100 kills off this there kills removed for today. Yes this will take out innocent players who had nothing to do with this but how will they be able to tell who did and who didn't? I got 1200 kills off sardon today so out of all players I will probably be taking the biggest hit. If it's to get everyone who participated in this there kills gone from this boost fest then it's worth it to me.

I may have accidentally started this o.o but i had no idea people boosted from this.

I kept reloading the leaderboard and noticing people's kills going up by 5's in just one second. I was like no swamp riot could be this crazy so I went to check myself, walked in and noticed my screen flash like 15 times when I died in the middle. That pretty much explained it. Some may not have known because a friend of mine said his screen didn't flash at all. I think his iDevice just couldn't keep up with it cause it was happening so fast. Seriously though just a complete reset of pks earned today by everyone seems to be the easiest way to fix this.

I was walking through swamp and thought it would be a good place to clog up and then pk everyone trying to get through. Surprisingly a ton of people came by and gave me some pks. After a couple minutes i realized i had like 50 pks, which is too high for like 2 minutes with 5 people there. Then i logged off and like 12 hours later theres 100 people there pking each other for no obvious reason.

Everyone in the guild "13" at the very least deserves a punishment. The whole guild was there boosting like crazy.

Ikr. They had 2 people in it to start out and now theres like 11. every one in 13 has atleast 1000 pks today.

It's still going on as we speak. Not as crazy though.

I dont think removing all pks today would be fair to people who did work hard and legit.

I guess so. But people shouldn't get away with a boosted 1k kills.

It was just fixed. Someone just widened the cliffs.

I guess resetting the kills is the only way to fix it or you'll have problems over who did and who didnt, but players like roxas and other shown in the videos should be reset to 0 as punishment.

The desperate measures Players would do, to get kills. Lol I just stood on the cliff with the popcorn shield, watching players boost kills.

It would be cool if people used the pk centers to pk and pathways for paths.

*sigh* a couple years ago shannon convinced staff to widen swamps entrance from 1-player wide to 2-players wide... and now after this they only doubled the width again? theres no reason to have that bottleneck at all.

Why not just delete the entire right cliff (useless), and delete the left cliff up to the gnome cave?

WOWOWOOWOOW NO F*UCKING WONDER ROXAS...i love rox and all but he said he to me that he was going to get 4,000+ kills today after I told him I was just going to stop trying for 100k. This just pissed me off.

Every member of the gang "illest" is abusing the drag at the graal city gate now. such boosters..

I walked into the middle of it, having no idea this boosting crap was happening, it took me about three minuits, and its not like I could have unstuck, because I kept getting pushed around. So stupid.

Look at the videos... How was that not boosting? Notice everytime I spawn it started me at 0.5 cause of the drag. Does 43 people ever get 1,000 kills in a day? No, not even half of that do. If you were shooting arrows up the middle you were getting a MASSIVE amount of kills because of that stupid spawn glitch. But pretty much everyone there was boosting due to that glitch.

Not everyone. Some people that did know it was boosting just sat back and pked the boosters, but didnt boost themselves.

It's really funny how, in most parts of the rants on forums and ales where, it's always the "pros" trying to do anything they can so the thing/person ranted should be objected. lol in this case: Goten having over 100k+ pks is ranting how all these kids are getting boosted pks. In other cases. A veteran tower taker might rant against hat chasers. Well, it's Graal nature. We never want people to do better than us.

I respect you Goten. I always look up to you when I pk. I really do.

I was in guild 13 last night, but I never pked :0 they were all gsing for #1

Of course! The point of all games, is to always be the best, most skilled player. Lol jkays. I have 100k+ kills on Graal, and I honestly don't care if other players are boosting 24/7. But when I see a known, old player in the community with 30k-100k+ boosting there, it just annoys me. Like they should know it better than not to boost, and pk all their kills the legit way. Now, it makes me think if they boosted their spar record too, since they're willing to go that low to boost their pk's.

I'm sure a lot of players there thought they were pking at first. But after awhile of getting 100 kills every 5 mins, it becomes common knowledge to all of them that they know they're boosting.

is there a reason you needed to get through the swamp ever so badly?

They were exploiting a bug to game kills extremely easily and quickly, at the cost of other players' experiences.

Mr. Craftz id like to point out that you where in fact taking large advantage of this boosting glitch today also as wilst running past on two seperate occasions i was killed multiple times by "pr0" (#5 as of now in pk list today) outside of graal city you must have got around 20 kills off me as i tried to escape the constant deaths per second. Now when I clicked "pr0" in score board the account no longer had any stats but the name was replaced with "craftz" (maybe its another craftz? lol) so although i admire ur reporting. ur a tad hypocrytical.

I also saw Craftz/Pr0 pking in that group yesterday when I was watching from the cliff. I remembered quite a few players with newb accounts there.

So, technically, you'd be reset too. Because I highly doubt you've never Mass PK'd like this.

well the entire days kills would be reset, why has a staff member not commented on this? will it not be fixed? really would hope staff would give a damn...

Well this is sad, the video shows clearly those people boosting. I thought people like Jakou and Roxas were decent players, but no they are just cheap pkers amateurs. Goten should send this video to staff so they get reset. Funny how jakou pmed me today "im sleepy x.x", of course he is sleepy, all day boosting. plz bring rufuz.

Ok let's get technical. Technically mass pking isn't boosting but this one had a bug which I showed in the videos making it boosting. I didm't participate in this so why would I be reset?

I pointed out this small space to Azrael a couple years ago and he made it a bit wider.. But I think it was reset back to the thinner path when Swamptown was refurbished a littler while back. Perhaps it should be widened again? You guys should stop wallowing in the past and focus on preventing it in the future. :)

The past is one day ago. People who boosted over 1,000 kills from this should get some sort of punishment. Some people actually work hard to get there kills, I don't see why we should just let others get away with cheating because the staff is too lazy to do anything. They knew it was boosting, it was pretty damn obvious when you killed one person there kills went up by freaking 5's.

Assuming you didn't read most of this, it was stated that it was fixed. Doesn't drag you down and has been widened alot.
