I learned that... Sometimes they even promised it will, but it still wasn't released.

Wait, I always thought admins were not allowed to give players items... So today, Jeni(XOXO) Had a new item.. She said it isn't going to be released and Loki gave out only 5 as a gift. I think this is against the rules... Correct me if it isn't.

Back before EC in the good days, you could win an event and get one. New staff and horrible decisions ruined iEra.

If I was an admin, f the rules. I'd do events for items. I REPRESENT. Old iEra rocked, and I would bring it back. Simple as that.

She replies "It isn't" then I said who gave it to you, She replies "Loki, there is only 5, it was a gift." **Conversation Ends**. Like jester said, it was obviously not like a contest because all "Famous" people have it, who are close to admins. :\

why is giving gifts to friends frowned upon?

Admins are not allowed too. Even if Loki gave them from maybe an ipod or ipad account, she still got them from an admin account. So some admin is distributing un-released rares to a select few for free. Which is not fair to everyone else.

Katana. Black and other colors. Probably ec items, itd be cool to have a place to retexture your katana for certain items you get around era doing different stuff and having to pay a good price (id suggest over 1k)

No, I seen Jeni with a melee that went out and looked kinda like the admin warp to start item but with a noob head on the end of the red lever. It was definitely brand new.

Ok....let me explain these items as you have probably seen some around era. On staff birthdays, on occasion they either make an item or it is made for them as a rare item to commemorate their birthday. Part of their gift is snk gives them 5 of the items that they may distribute as they see fit. This happened with Homeless Witch dagger. Layerd's hammer, Flamecrows flying wings, and Loki's noob stick. I think it is up to the staffmember if they ever want the item auctioned as well (HW Dagger). It is completely their choice who they give the item to: a friend, a player who helped them on a project, as an event prize, etc. Yes, I have been given some of these items and that is what you see me with. It is not against the rules, it is part of their birthday gift as a thank you from snk for the countless hours they volunteer to era and are not compensated for. Hope that helps clear up what the deal is with these items.

Also Jeni, you should probably calm everyone down. People are trying to incite a riot and I'm lagging out because of the text scrolling by.

I logged out...people are going a little crazy cause I stopped hosting trades due to the Banshee incident. I had hoped my absence would help simmer them down....

They should really give rare items to the select few players who don't pay to win to keep them in the game. If you are going to give away items, at least get the items to work for you.

I was unaware of this policy. Technically speaking, they can just make what ever they want when they want and give it to whoever they want, regardless of their birthday, as long as it gets the go ahead.
