Over and over in era history, players have been told to expect new and exciting content; over and over it is eventually forgotten about or pushed back and replaced with some lesser update.

So far:
Ninja Town
Morano Project
Gang Points
Coop's Project/New town
Pets
Capture The Flag
Gym
(the list goes on and on etc)

has been promised, and we are still waiting. I don't want to call the staff team lazy, but when I see staff members basing, just hanging around or not really doing anything at all, it makes me upset. Yes, I know staff need breaks and whatnot, but it has honestly been about 6-8 months since a great, well thought out update. Most of the stuff listed was supposed to be expected during Summer, but now it is Fall. So please, stop giving us these updates that entertain us for 30 minutes - 1 day, and fufil the promises made to us about the updates that YOU announced and got us excited for.

We are waiting.

Agreed. We are all waiting. Some players don't have enough faith anymore when it comes to announcements for a future update. Too many coming soon content that never gets released. Get the job done. Era shouldn't be filled with too many coming soon contents.

I agree with you all... But it's as an oldbie said recently...
The older staff have to work with younger people and they're all volunteers. In contrast to professionals who have the ability to put loads of time in, the volunteers have lives. It's hard working with people half your age in a regimented, professional way.

But yes, I agree. Projects should not be announced until they are 99% done.

It's like old classic stuff where they leaked towns etc and that hyped everything for months and staff promised not to leak anything in development again.

My main problem is they have time to do "Z room" parties every other day, or go sit in a base all day, or just mess around with friends and as it turns out, close to nothing gets done. Take all the time they took doing nothing or just being "show offs" and stuff would be getting done and would be done.

I would agree with you if that statement was true. And I wish it was that simple. But imma say it how I see it, they don't care anymore. The updates that do happen are half assed and buggy. Halloween=door knocking bugs. New events=bugs. They don't even fix it. They trash em or just let it go on. That's my problem with how things are going.

I honestly wish I had the eagerness I once did to log on to Graal everyday and play and enjoy myself. But there is nothin to enjoy anymore. Everything is old. Everything is worn out. People have quit because of it, but still, No one seems to care.

Again, going to say I'm not calling staff lazy. I'm not hating on them as its their voluntary duty to run around with boots and hang with friends and answer a question a week. I'm just sick of nothing getting done.

Meph is a good admin. he listens to players. He works. He does what he says he will do. He gets it done. Other staff should take notes from him. Js

I want to know why I see hearts gang members lagged in a base and unable to take damage and blocking off doorways, with her in the base and not doing anything about it. They don't even have time to do their regular duties as PRs?
And I want an honest answer here. When is it the gfx teams job to do stuff like juggernaut and get hundreds of kills and create a laggy cluster of players instead of work? Breaks or not half the day I see staff doing events, hiding, and not working.
And yeah throwing parties for their "friends" like jester said.

Not all staff do these things but a darn good portion of them do.

jester, i completely agree. Staff have made many promises to make things, but they have never have been done x.x

It's following Classic and Era's tradition and coming on Christmas.

And you know the thing that pisses me off the most? Players are the ones doing more work than most staff members. Ya I said it, the effing players. Most updates that happen are generally player made ideas, graphics, or they just follow the same stuff other games are doing/have done. If you want something to be done on the server, it's like the old saying goes, "if you want it done right you gotta do it yourself." and quite frankly, I'm just sad that this is the ways things have turned out.

This is sadly true.

I logged on the other day just to see what was up. A few of my old friends showed me the airport. When I got there I was thinking, "Man! This is great! A big huge level! I wonder where this plane will lead me" I get there and it's hats. Ugly. Nasty. Hats. At least make it worth while. That was terrible.

The problem is staff leak ideas that are generated via RC before they're even serious about doing it or completing it.

To conclude my rant before snk asks me why I hate era again, I am going to say something I thought I would never say.

I prefer classic's staff system a lot more. If you're on staff account you are working. You rarely, hell never see a classic staff lounging around on their pc account. When they need a break, or want to have fun they get on their iDevices. PC is for work. Classic has actually generated some decent content. They made a new town, added a new job, repaired farming, they make nice VIP items (don't even get me started on era's "VIP" treatment) and I've never seen a staff member there just goofing off and I know quite a few.

Feel free to leave your views. I'm done cuz most likely nothing will happen. I just needed to rant and vent out my thoughts.

Era staff seem to be able to get away with a lot more than iclassic. Look at all the staff abuse reports and the staff that are caught doing something wrong....

everything is still being made and hasnt been forgotten except the 'morano project'. we already announced that we wont do it for now because it has been planned by jatz who resigned.
dont get your hopes up for that, maybe we will work on it next year, but its not the highest priority.

also when we finish stuff, we wont release it immediately. we are keeping it up for other stuff to release it all together

look at all those bastards around making fake reports. we do log everything and when it comes to abusing powers the person will be fired.

Snk said he was taking over the Morano Project for Jatz. That was the last I heard about it.

And prove it, release something within the week that is actually worthwhile. I think people have been waiting long enough suffering through old and dull content for quite a while. If you have so much, release half now and the other half of the held back content later. As I said, it has been about 6 months already.

Id rather have a steady stream of new content, than one big glob of it. It's like gum.

no, all that happens is its shrugged off or they are "punished". there is a reason there is all those reports about stuff with the staff on iera and not on classic, there is too much of this to simply dismiss it as them all lying, iera staff members like homelesswitch a running joke, perhaps if staff didnt just bond together and defend eachother instead of accepting that perhaps one of the team wasnt a bloody angel you could clean yourselves up, ban staff going into bases, ban staff guilds, fire staff that dont do their bloody jobs. its a privilege, not a right, and if they quit over it then they should have never been staff in the first place.

you can already stop posting in here and gtfo. we know what you think and thats it. unfortunately everything has to be a suprise, else you keep saying we promised stuff which has never been said for 100% that it will be added.

When we sit around, it can mean that we are currently working and are NOT doing anything with our client? ****ING LOGIC? the Z room has been something quickly made (i think in 1hour or whatever). nothing of a big deal.

we do check bug reports, especially me. I did check the knocking and there was nothing wrong with it. when events are buggy, we try our best to fix it. you cant always detect every error, sometimes stuff is comming up randomly due to several interactions (like the players being able to PK with weapons rather than being crabs).

hes not the only one fixing stuff. i do check such bug reports all the time trying to fix them. i also worked on all the promises i did so far which are also ready for release.

you are the players begging for events, begging for auctions and stuff, starting to swear around if we are busy and stuff. its just your ignorant being. want to chat with a staff? dare him working! want updates? dare him chatting!

if you feel like contributing stuff, why should we decline it? its better to make something you would like to have instead of complaining and spamming everything.

you dont seem to have any clue why its like this. i wont bother to explain it as it could get several staff members of iclassic into trouble but try to figure it out yourself.
once again, just because we didnt release something yet, it doesnt mean we will never release it.

It would be nice if the staff would update the players about these projects. Pimpsy did a nice job with "Pimpsy's Buns" by regularly updating his thread with the work he has done. Of course, that hasn't been released either, since he finished the levels and the graphics and is waiting for someone to script the job.

So it all comes out at the same time, so it gets old together, so players rant for more stuff more, yadda yadda yadda.
I'd rather have a good update every couple weeks or so, that way we stay entertained and we don't rant as much.

Also, I hate the freaking "parties". It's just a lag fest, and nothing ever happens, you just see an admin showing off their admin stuff.

He warped me to it several times for an opinion; the last time (maybe a week before he quit) it looked about ready. He just needed one or two more prizes and for someone to script his job for him.

This is the real problem. Someone needs to control what staff posts on the forums. The projects need to be secret until they are released. Unless you're looking for GFX (aka ninja items for an obvious ninja town).

It is obvious the players are not satisfied. Seems to me everyone wants a common thing. More frequent updates. Stop holding back IF things are actually done. But again, I feel, the players will be ignored.

yes, it might be stupid to have everything released at once, but we are waiting for something else to be done and than release the stuff randomly and not at once (well at least me with my stuff)
you dont have to join the lag fest - be happy about less lag somewhere else. and yea i also dont like how staff is getting all items when its resulting into a showoff anyway, but meh its not up to me.

Staff do get very busy, and PRs don't exactly have to work, just help players. It's nice that they can entertain with "parties" (which makes no sense to me) and events and auctions (only with permission). Even when offline, GFX and SFX etc. admins can still be working, which is great. But the various projects, instead of focusing on one at a time, are what is bothering players such as myself.

if players are being ignored, how comes im still around? how comes john is still around? and what about meph? even though most of the staff team stopped bothering to check everything on here because of the stupidy of most players and their ignorant being, there are still people listening to your suggestions.
this are not the official forums so we couldnt give a less **** what you are saying/suggesting on here.
gladly rufus made such a fan forum where staff can see your suggestions which i am doing and probably will keep doing as long as im a staff member.
