If this is supposed to be a tutorial island for new players, I must say they're getting right down to business. Show them how the real ethics of a Graalian nation by sending them into a heart of chaos. Without skill or prior knowledge of the upcoming. They will come to learn quick the ways of a dignified Graalian. Prides will be broken into a more subordinate form of manner and respect. Envies will be but a mere game on a game, childish and obsolete. Far unlike the current leaders of corrupt men who have yet to fathom this. For each man, there is one better than him. For each weakling, there is one weaker than him. We the current generations have yet to learn this in most ways. It is time they have been taught at a younger state of gameplay.

I don't understand why they would need a separate start for asian players... Infact it almost sounds racist XD but seriously they didn't need to go through all this work... Unless they have more plans for it, like new towns and such

So, in short, stefan is selling out to other companies by making useless (and particularly rushed and ugly, look at how the map was edited) content to advertise them that is simply not needed on iclassic? Could someone prove me wrong? Please, I want to be proven wrong.

I don't like it. Even if Graal is now sponsored by Air Asia, there are far better ways to show it than making ugly towns and airports. Oh, and the hot air balloon is absolutely hideous. They could make something that actually fits the theme. Also, that sky rider thing really shouldn't be saying Graal is 8+. With the gameplay, sure. But with the players... Definitely not. Any parent who lets their child play Graal is shoving them into a hostile world of *********s and creeps, and a world that promotes violence by showing that the only way to make money is by blowing up a natural area, and the only alternative being dishing out RL money to a terrible money exchanger that charges at least 80% tax.

"Hey mom guess what? I know we're totally like in some God-forsaken part of the world but since I play graal all day and they're sponsored by Air Asia I think we should go ride Air Asia!"

Conversations like that don't happen like that at the dinner table. As if Stefan really were to promote their industry to children would actually help gain them supporters. And, as for the African airways thing, maybe they'd get one if Air Africa sponsored Graal. But, still, I don't think it's the best way to recognise the sponsorship anyway. Next people will be asking for a Europe starting island, an Oceanic starting island, and so on, but they'll all just be the same anyway.

Just another useless thing on classic. They should ask players what they would want. Like very useful updates.

I don't like how there's a random Graal Kingdoms hot air balloon in Graal City now. It looks terrible.

Ok, now that I've actually seen the place, I can offer an opinion. I really think another tutorial island is unnecessary. If you're going to do it, at least use a tileset that matches the rest of the game, or just go ahead and change the entire game's tileset to the Facebook one. I'm sure new players would notice the difference in graphics from the Air Asia islans and the rest of the game world. Unless they're blind. The contents of the buildings and the overall layout seems half-assed, and the hot air balloon is so horribly out of place that I cringed just looking at it. However, the things at the library are actually pretty interesting, and it would be nice to have the info there be useful or used for future developments of quests and such, and the monsters and baddies in the bestiary there would also be an interesting addition. In short, the island sucks and looks out of place, but the library was interesting.

Well I think it should at least have a fort on the island and some decent stuff in the library, not what we already know ._.

Not when reborn mobile is released. Not if a new graal is made by someone else. I hold no loyalty to Stefan. I hold loyalty to the game and it's community. I think that can be said for most players.

Sorry if this offends anyone who was involved in this idea or the development of this "Air Asia" garbage, but after more than 10 years I feel like I've finally witnessed Graal's first attempt at an advertising campaign or "sponsorship" and it comes across to me (someone who has worked in internet marketing for the past 5 years) as a complete joke.

Does the Graal administration still not know their demographic? Has Cyberjoueurs not made enough money to invest in ad campaigns that are proven and practical on platforms like Google and Facebook? This is just completely weird to me and I don't even know what to make of it.

Duh? Of course they are, nothing stops them. They are going to complian of some kind of change, and just continue and continue. Like how 40% of you all will keep using stupid iPhones just to be able to play Graal. Seriously? I'm sure PC works just as fine. Lol.

Good gameplay videos and word of mouth are much better for advertising Graal than confusing sponsorships and stupid Google/Facebook ad campaigns will ever be. As long as Graal shows up on the first page of 'Zelda MMO' results they'll be good to go.

Well since the money Stefan gets from it is not enough to get anything major done, it's not worth having Tule converted into a crappy eyesore on the map, and the ridiculously ugly air Asia balloon. Exactly how much revenue does this generate and where will this money go towards? Stefan will never answer.

All I'm really complaining about is the fact that it just looks bad and out of place. I have no problem with the island's existence, but I'm sure advertising is much more effective if it actually looks good.

Remember what valve said.. Letting players in on the deal... Maybe explaining exactly what this is and this whole skyrider thing is and why he did this... Perhaps a little reasoning for this since.. You know, the players are paying for his meals...

Now that Air Asia sponsors iClassic, maybe Gralat Packs should be cheaper as they need less money to fund the servers! *hint hint*

Isn't it plain obvious, he did it to attempt to get more people playing=more money + continue with regular hat updates vip and vip recoloured morphs, he doesn't need to change anything as the players themselves are keeping the server running smoothly.

Ask any player the reason they stay playing, answer will be: either they play when bored or stay because they chat with there ingame friends.
Graal will never change unless this changes^ + they all decide to quit but that isn't going to happen.

(I'm assuming this was an advertisement that Eurocenter was compensated for and not Stefan just being cute about the map)

Personally, I'm proud of Stefan for venturing on to companies to uniquely advertise their product. I'm all about small businesses and kick starter companies like Graalonline iPhone creating revenue through clever forms of advertisement. If it keeps going, it COULD mean cheaper gralat packs for anyone interested (probably not but who knows).

I can relate... When I was in college I worked for a kickstarter website for my university. By means of chalking the campus with riddles and odd creatures, we became the top campus in sign ups vs 49 other campuses that joined the website. The website became self sustaining for college campuses. The next phase was getting local businesses to advertise on the website and for any events we had (guitar hero competitions, etc)... It was pretty fun, but not easy. It felt great getting a sponsor in order to keep the company going strong so we were able to continue to host awesome events (flash mobs, pizza parties, etc...). It's called business. I'm sure when you youngins are out of school as well as your folks' homes (hopefully) and have to figure out your own way to make a paycheck that you'll appreciate it and understand it a lot more instead of complain and think it's destroying some kind of personal moral code you think exists or matters. It's just a ****ing balloon with a name on it. Jesus.

The ironic thing here is while you guys are talking about it, is getting what it was aiming for: Attention. Great work!
