Did anyone else pick up a copy today? Enjoying it so far, level 6 playing as the Soldier (not sure if thats the class name, but the equivalence of it in Borderlands 1). Having a hardtime beaing the midget riding on the yeti thing.

Anyways, thoughts?

Got it today. I was a dumb ass and didn't pre-order it. It came with some really good pre-order bonuses. Regardless it's extremely fun and I love the new guns, customization, badass rank, etc. I personally use Zero because he's freaking amazing. I don't want to spoil who you'll see later in the story if you don't know.

I preordered it from Gamestop, but I'm not sure what the bonus was

How long do those last? I saw them and was like "Hoooly ***. I'm not paying another 30 dollars to wait almost another year for the packs." Do they do anything else other than give you a 25% discount from all the stuff you get from it?

Yes andy is the season pass umm for online like BF3 cause i don't want to buy if thats all season pass does

Seriously though you guys have to try it.

Pros:

-New Character Customization and unlockables.
-New Guns/Gun abilities (including throwing a gun to reload and it explodes)
-Badass Rank/tokens (upgrade stats such as Gun damage, shield capacity, reload speed, etc.)
-Storyline includes main characters from the first game.
-Splitscreen now can go online.
-Funny easter eggs
-Can now crawl when downed
and much more

Cons
-The menu screen is a bit more confusing and less viewable in splitscreen.
-Time limit to customize your character before the game starts at the very beginning.

I'm trying to level up (I'm level 16) so I can kill the monsters at the wildlife exploitation area (which are ~level 19)

You don't need the season pass since the DLC is buy able separate. The season pass just gives a discount for all the DLC together

Level 17 so far. I can only play when my sister plays so I don't level up too far ahead lol. We love the cooperative gameplay. I ended up getting the pre-order DLC on eBay paying an extra 8 bucks, but it was worth it. I was ready to open that golden chest until I saw that the higher the level you are the better the rewards.

Alright so andy i have to buy any DLC of my choice?

What mission are you on in the Storyline? I'm on the one where you have to go to something Bluffs (level 24 atm). I really like the storyline in this game so far.

Think I'm going to wait a month or two for the price to drop to $30. Does look pretty nice though; played a whole summer's worth of Borderlands with a group of friends.

Just got it today, easily best game I have played since skyrim

Where Angels Fear To Tread is seriously one of my favorite missions I've played out of any video game. On the last mission now, don't feel like beating the main storyline yet so I'm doing side missions.

How many chapters are their?

I thought this game was almost perfect, but, it has DRM. That makes any good game mediocre.

So every game on steam is mediocre?

You can access your entire steam library without internet? I play skyrim and assassins creed on steam sometimes when my internet is down during a storm or something. Borderlands 2 pauses in the middle of the game, and does not allow you to play, when the internet goes down.

That's how I felt in Fallout 3 and NV, especially because the side missions have their own linked storylines. Also because the Fallout: NV main storyline can be completed in ~1 hour and 30 minutes without side missions. It was pretty disappointing.

Borderlands, however, felt like the campaign was going to last forever. I liked that aspect of the game.

Yeah, and once you beat a game, you gradually lose interest in it. I beat it on Sunday, still playing as of now, level 39 on the Bright Lights, Flying City mission on True Vault Hunter mode (Playthrough 2).
