Graalonline idea: Steam
Hello there,
Maybe some Steam users already know it, Valve is starting their Greenlight program to expanda their gameslist. The idea is to help starting developers. If you don't who Valve is or what Steam is: Valve is a famous videogame developer, they made Team Fortress, Counter Strike, Portal and many more! Steam is their program, it's a digital videogame store. I don't know if it is possible to release graal on Steam, but if possible, this is our chance! |

>steam pick one. okay we have a winner, steam it is. |
Steam has almost 4 million+ players/people each day, major games like Call of Duty or The Elder Scrolls are also released on Steam. After the launch of Facebook Era the number of people playing graal increased, releasing it on Steam and the numbers will increase! More players=more fun=more money right?
|
Why do we have to put GraalOnline on Steam when there already is a way to download a pc version for it?

The only problem would be if they can be bothered putting the effort in to getting it on the Steam platform. It has the capability to make Cyberjouers/Eurocentre a lot of money. |

Eurocenter: less than 100000 people. Valve: Steam has 4 million+ players/people on a daily base. More people is more fun and more money. *no offense to eurocenter, it's just a fact. |

If Eurocenter makes more money with this, they will invest in better servers. They will invest in ways to get more bread! And who said 2D games weren't hot anymore? I believe games like Super Meat Boy and Binding of Isaac are hot Casual/Indie games,

Steam free games are normally freemium, meaning its free to an extent or with in game purchases. Graal could technically fit in, with it's in game gralat purchases.

Would be nice if stefan made a modified pc client that simply connected to iClassic/iEra from steam, rather than the traditional servers that require a subscription.
they could allow you to purchase gralats via steam wallet, so I see no problem with billing. And all they would need to do is modify the v6 client to connect to a specific server and change a couple things to work with steam startup/overlay(which i heard is easy) |
So with all of the things mentioned here, I don't see how Graal on Steam would have any negative effects. Why not do it? Come on, someone try to make that argument.
