What Happened to iEra?

iEra, in simpler words, just isn't the same anymore. The old iEra, the one I loved and preferred over iClassic, doesn't exist anymore. The old iEra was controlled by the awesome staff (still here, by the way.) But the staff aren't the main problem. It's the players, yes, us.
Now, this is not so much for us older players (1000+ hours, at least.) Of course, it's partially everyone. But (no offense) mostly the newer players.
You see, iClassic got ruined because the greed, and the fact that the players had no input, no chance to say their word. The staff were always in hiding, and almost none responded to anyone but their friends. The updates got worse and worse, mostly because they are all hats, and, well, laziness got ahold of the beloved server.
Now, we have iEra. We have great updates, great staff, but a big problem. We aren't appreciate!
Our staff works hard and long to produce nice updates, to make the players happy. We get new guns, new areas, and most of the player input is at LEAST considered. But, the thing is, players are hating on the staff. Because, they feel they are being treated unfair. For the stupidest reasons. Once, a player hatespammed me that Bboy (sorry for the name drop) participated an auction and didn't announce it! Now, we all know that it isn't that big of a deal. In fact, for the lagger players, it's nice to have an auction that isn't full of spamming players and lag.
Of course, the fact that our staff are now mostly hiding causes a problem. No one can talk to them, and if they do come out, people spam them, with mostly unimportant stuff like hosting Weddings or the fact they got scammed.
Back when I first joined iEra, staff could freely wander around, and, although they had crowds, the players loved and respected them (that I know of. Of course, I wasn't or never have been staff, I can't read their PMs or experience what they are). But, players could input ideas, get help fairly and enjoy the game!
But, once again, now players are bothered by stupid things such as the fact BAR has a high price. I mean, come on! It's one gun. Big deal. It won't end the world if you can't get it, and I assure you that not all of the guns will suddenly have ridiculously high prices, nor will you be forced by anyone to buy them.
So, please, guys. Remember that our staff are people too, that everyone in the game deserves equal treatment. What is ruining our server, is not the high prices or the dumb gang wars, but the fact that our communication is not only dying, but failing. Because, yelling in CAPS LOCK at staff or anyone gets you nowhere.

Can we please go back to the old server I loved? Where no matter how many kills or hours you had, maturity was more important. Where our staff were respected but not treated like scary government spies or something, and where people were happy with what they had?
Because it really is a good server, and we know that. Stop complaining.

I didn't know the age of a player was based on their hours o.o

It starts with one gun....then boom a bunch of overpowered super expensive guns. So you'll get pked super easy if you dont buy them. Why else would they make the bar like that and raise the m16s price so unreasonably high? They are obviously perparing to do something. And I'd prefer if instead of targeting staff they targeted the owners and managers, Stefan, unixmad, snk, because they are the ones responsible for this. I don't like how they get powers on this forum, I noticed snk mass deleted posts for "not necessary", and I'm afraid they are going to use their powers to censor this forum and stuff.

As someone with experience of being both a staff and normal community member, I have to say Kat that you're both bold and somewhat...what's the word, I really don't want to offend you lol, that isn't my purpose, just a little naive. Seriously no offense though. It really is awesome that you stand up and speak out for the staff as a community member, that's really great. I wish I saw more people like you when I was staff for iClassic back in the day before it went downhill.

You have to take into consideration of what it was like for iEra in the beginning. It was a brand new server that had high expectations from almost everyone. Naturally the staff members will go out and introduce themselves so that people will know them, then if a good impression is made, positive opinion will spread amongst players. If I'm not mistaken the staff at the time were mainly PC original people, so it was a new experience for both them and people trying out iEra (considering how PC Era really doesn't get all that many people and iEra had a massive wave of people checking it out the first day).

As far as people are and how they react to things in the game, what can you do? Every group/leader comes with people that like them or love them and people who complain about them or blame them. That's the whole point of responsibility and the ability of the staff to tolerate such things.

Uh? The price of the BAR was made just to avoid this, to ALL player to get it, so I highly doubt this will happen, because I dont think we will see a lot of people in the street with it.

Commenting mainly on the paragraph I bolded.
I do note that yes, iEra was different in the beginning. But, at the time I mainly started Era, it was already a few months in! The fact that the staff were roaming around helping players with a good attitude and behavior definitely was impressive, and what brought me to switch servers. Of course, now, although I love the staff, it seems like whenever they go out they get harassed...

Now on the paragraphs I underlined. (Jeez, im so OCD I even underline and bold things in a neat fashion xD)
Don't worry, I'm not offended, I can be very naive sometimes xD but I'll stand up for what I want and that's it :)
And, I know there will be people who dislike the staff, always. But I'm hearing more and more every day, month... from most of the iEra staff, the community is just getting less and less supportive, even though the staff are working to make Era better and more fun with the players.
And to me, thats a bit ironic and su****ious, I guess.

As the Guns Admin, I can assure everyone that there will be guns at available prices. The BAR is a gun that is not meant for everyone to have, like the M16 was. Speaking of the M16, the price will be dropped soon. I'm just saying everyone is freaking out because of this one gun.. You shouldn't. Yes, the price is high, but it is also a very good gun. And personally, I don't like seeing everybody using the same gun. New guns will be released soon. This is a wave of "good" guns though, so expect high prices. I'm working on a lot of things to satisfy you guys. Don't let the price of the BAR affect your gameplay on iEra.

The BAR is overpriced for a reason, as I just said. It's not like you HAVE to go and buy a gralat pack and get this gun. Honestly, if I was a normal player, I wouldn't try getting it either. Y'know, unless I was rich and all.

No gun is the same as another. There are guns that are SIMILAR, yes. I can't get around that sometimes. People can complain all they want about the BAR, but the fact is that no matter how much they complain, it will always go back to one thing. If you don't like it, don't buy it.
