What's better xbox 360 or the ps3.

I'd make a poll for this. I prefer Xbox 360. I like the controls better, games more, and it's add-ons. It does have it's downsides though. Xbox Live costs $60.00, the router for the back costs $90.00, the headsets suck, and it can get the red ring of death. Other then those downs I love it.

Out of those two i choose ps3. Sega Genesis is by far better than both though. ;)

I choose Xbox because there are a lot more people with xbox's. The playstation network was hacked easily aswell so... <3 MW3

Whatever I can afford, and 360 it was. I need Last Guardian though...

I'ma go with xbox 360 because it had better online, more games, and the kinect is fun for the whole family.

I'm going to go with the Play Station 3 since I have never owned an xBox of any generation before and find the controls pretty chaotic to figure out and play with. It's a nice chunk of software though that has some pretty sweet games that, sadly, SONY can't seem to live up to.

Make a poll for it. Xbox is beast. The playstation was hacked easily a group. Also i think they are copying xbox -._. If the playstation get a advanced menu, they are copying

Nothing is safe from being hacked, they just weren't a target... and Sony made it easy.

In my opinion, i'd take PS3 over 360 anyday. Heres why:
First, you got to pay 60 bucks a year for Xbox Live.. Now, for the PS3 you get free internet all the time. Plus you need to purchase a modem/wireless adapter for the thing so..

If i had Xbox Live for 3 years:
Xbox 360 - $200
Modem/Adapter - $80
Xbox Live (3 years) - $180
Total - $460.00
With 1 year - $340
Thats more than the cost of a PS3 now. Even if you exclude the Modem, its still too much.

PS3 got hacked and thats a major problem!? Look at what 360 got:
-360's red ring of death (applies to all 360's)
-More bugs/errors than the PS3 in both menu and games
-Multiple discs for several games (LA Noire, FF13,etc.)

Don't forget that PS3 also got exclusive content:
-Battlefield 3 (Battlefield 1943 free)
-Dead Space 2 (Dead Space Extraction)
-Medal of Honor (Medal of Honor Frontline)

-Batman Arkham Asylum (Joker challenge exclusive DLC)
-Mortal Kombat 9 (Kratos Character Exclusive)
-The Last Guardian
-The Last of Us (An announced to be Playstation title)
-Twisted Metal
-God of War Franchise
-Jak, Ratchet & Clank, and Sly cooper
-and Even Uncharted 3 and Killzone 3!

And PSN only got hacked once.. So it doesn't make that big of a deal anyways...

-Castle Crashers, Limbo, and Castlevania Harmony of Despair are not XBLA exclusive titles. These were supposed to be on the PSN but they took time to expand it to a whole new level and the Exclusive PSN additions are amazing!

-PSN Plus members will get amazing discounts and free games for just 50 bucks a year! Now what does the 360 have on that?

360 is supposed to be a friendly system now. Microsoft is clearly focusing on the casual games. The used to be hardcore games are now garbage... And unlike sony, Microsoft is squeezing their franchises dry (Like the upcoming Halo 4,5, and 6!). Other than the shooters and the dance kinect titles, the 360 is a downright disaster..

I understand that people like the Xbox 360 for shooters and kinect but seriously, idk where the "Ripping off" and "Exclusive" talk for the 360 overtops the amazing quality PS3 has to offer.

Seriously, they got hacked once but that was done in a month... They gave us 2 free Playstation 3 games (from a list of 4) and 2 free Playstation Portable games (from a list of 4) of our choice (I have them all) when it was turned back online so i don't know why you say 360 is superior just to one hack...

Imagine if 360 got hacked all of a sudden... Then im sure the PS3 would be extremely superior now..

Why would you need to buy a wireless adapter? Wired is the way to go anyways, and the new 360's support wireless out the box. Hell, I have an old 360 and I simply paid $5 for a long-ass ethernet cord.

I get Xbox Live for $45 a year, and before the price-raise it was even cheaper. You just need to know where to look and not buy the cards from a store. I don't have a PS3 obviously, so I can't say much about PSN, but I have heard from even PS3 owners that the connection can be iffy at time. However, that's just what I've heard so I won't really go and criticize the PSN when I don't have first-hand experience with it. Free is always cool, but if I knew paying would go towards a better experience, I'd do it(but also weep a little when I know I don't have the money for it). I also love my party chat/personal chat outside of games.

PS3 has had its share of hardware issues, please don't ignore them. Also, yes, their being hacked was a very major problem, a lot of personal information was compromised. Dunno what you're trying to say with the bugs/errors... O.o as far as I know, games tend to be coded for the 360 and then ported to the PS3, hence why PS3 versions usually look worse/have more bugs. I already addressed the bluray thing in the other thread. I don't mind swapping discs. Bluray loads way slower than a DVD, even after saving it to the HDD(which is forced for many large games because otherwise the loading would be unbearable).


They called off the free Battlefield 1943 the DAY BATTLEFIELD 3 WAS RELEASED LOL. They announced it on Twitter. Sucks for people who were expecting it. Google it if you want more details.

Um... ya every console has exclusive content. That's not really a selling point, it's what the exclusive content is that matters. Those don't interest me, but a few exclusives games do... but then again 360 also has some interesting exclusive content. Whether you like them or not though is up to you, but you should be objective about it. Console sellers for me for the PS3 would be the Last Guardian and Metal Gear Solid 4, and probably God of War 3. If it weren't for those games I don't think I'd bother as most games are multi-platform and I already own a 360. However, god dammit Last Guardian taunts me so.

Again, it was a very big ****ing deal. Don't understate it, it was big enough for them to compensate all PSN users with a year of identity theft(pretty expensive). That's not even counting how long the service itself was down, and the fact that they knew it was going on for a whole week and never let any of the users know. They know they ****ed up, why do PS3 owners have a hard time admitting it as well? If you want to look at how to properly handle personal info being hacked, Steam was recently targetted as well. They let users know almost immediately.

And Sony Move is...? TBH I don't care, I have no interest in the Kinect or Sony Move, and I consider my relationship with my Wii a tolerated one, though I have gotten much enjoyment out of it.

Are games considered free when you pay $50 a year for them?

Microsoft doesn't really deal much with first-party games, it comes down to the third party devs and what they feel like making. However, what games have recently came out on the PS3 that are exclusive and "hardcore?" Most of the recent big titles are multi-platform games. Also, I hate the whole "casual" vs "hardcore" bull****. Elitist attitude, imo.

All in all, it's quite clear that you're clearly in favor of Sony/PS3 and it's clouding any semblence of reasonable judgement. Your entire post is a lengthy rebuttal against... nothing. It's like your expecting people to attack the PS3.

Like I said, I got the 360 because it was cheaper(especially when I got it, and the PS3 was still $600). If I had the money I'd have a PS3 as well... I just don't get the point of how people are so quick to jump and defend a system, and to criticize another. Let people enjoy/play what they damn well feel like. So you like PS3, I'm happy for you! Why? Because you enjoy it, and in the end your own personal enjoyment is what matters, and I don't see the point of pushing your opinion onto someone else so forcibly.

Sony's failed bandwagon peripheral, which they have abandoned because nobody likes it and nobody buys it or even knows about it.

If anything the Kinect is an expanded version of the wii but with no controller and can recognize entire body movements...hmm maybe that's why the Kinect has sold so well?
