There isn't going to be a miracle fix for guilds. Most of the perceived issues are caused by players, and while there are a few things that can be addressed at a development level, any changes are still going to be up to the community to use appropriately. Introduce new standards to what a guild means once the system is revised and and set an example to your peers.

Hat monkeys can get over it.

Hoping they will implement a points style system, where people who help for "X" amount of time holding a tower get "Y" amount of TP (Tower Points). Those points could be exchanged for hats or special items. This could stop the abuse of poor kiddos who are being abused by the current towering system of "rec and kick".

Kicked

MDR had nothing to do with getting to 1k fast, we just wanted to tower at Destiny

I was in the guild for just a few hours one time and saw anyone who went offline get kicked to be replaced with other scrubs. Pretty disgusting, had to have been the stupidest thing I've seen in the game. Not to mention the horrible servers at the time,(Servers always bad after updates but you get my point)

I just don't like seeing guilds rush for this. Hats are pretty damn useless for something like towering, too.

Hope there are significant changes and better rewards, I would like to start towering again but not until good changes are made.

No doubt in success, only shameful the way they carried stuff out.

Correction, you were one of the leaders. Shameful the way you carried stuff out.:sarcastic:

That is how any towering guild works/used to work I'm pretty sure. The top 2 rows are 'leads' persay, and the last 3 are people who have a temp tag, and maybe even temp powers, to recruit and kick, but other than that, that is how any towering guild works/worked.

That has always been what guilds did. We kick people offline to replace them with someone online. What is the point of having a full guild when you have 10 people offline not defending. This has always happen. Only guild that didn't really do it was redrum but that was back in the day when you could defend a tower with 5 people online. Today's towers it takes more to make sure you don't. So saying something is disgusting when you don't even know about towers just shows how much feedback you should give to this thread.

A lot of people who use that strategy, including me, agree that it sucks for the game, but if it's the best way to do it then you're simply going to do it otherwise you won't survive. Everyone knows what they're getting into when they join a tower guild.

So shameful, allowing my guild to function like 100% of the rest of them

The only thing I feel shame in is using an Anbu-style mask for Unreal a year ago, because that seems to have revived a trend and at this point it's been beaten into the ground so hard that I wish mine was deleted

If you take a look at it now, it really does seem odd to have a system where there are so many guilds taking advantage of members for the sake of specific rewards, such as hats. It isn't a behavior that I think needs to be rewarded, but since it's become a primary strategy it's only fair for me to assume you'd oppose my thoughts.

I don't like how something this ridiculous, as a strategy, is so effective. It's a very selfish way of retrieving awards; I cannot join any good guilds anymore because I am always getting tossed out for online people. They don't care about the members, hatchasing seems to be the objective.

Okay, and you get recruited again when you come back online...

Thats how tower guilds are supposed to be, why keep you in the guild when we could kick you and replace your spot with someone whose online, ready to help, and active rather than keeping you in the guild whilst you were offline and doing the opposite of those things. Theres also the subs you could have asked for which were at plenty of times open for players to join, its not a family guild, a rping guild, a fashion show guild, its a towering guild and a successful one at that.

The new system will make it so kicking wont really be used as much I believe since theres going to be 50 member limit, so if you wanted to be kept in the guild you should wait.

You do realize the members join by theirselves right? We dont force them and they are well informed of what they have to do in the guild, they also realize not all of them will get the reward and it has always been like that most likely before you were born. If we wanted to take advantage we'd kick all the helpful people and get the hat for friends etc.
