I listed some off on page 69.

How does ToraDora sound coming out of Anohana?

GlazeyB 03-06-2014 12:30 AM

I haven't watched Anohana but Toradora is more comedic then transitions into serious romance.

Looking at the description though, they have some similarities, but Toradora doesn't use an supernatural themes.

Question about Anohana, as you've seen the series, how was the movie? I know it's set in the year after the events of the last episode. Please keep it non spoilerish, I haven't watched the series yet.

All these Log Horizon is a down grade of Sword Art Online.

Just because the two share a similarity about people being trapped in a video game, doesn't mean it's the same. First of all, Sword Art Online actually had a virtually reality and everyone was trapped by the creator, whereas Log Horizon, people who were in the middle of playing the game were all warped into a world just like the game and have no idea how it happen or how to even get out.

Second point is the quality of the anime, while Sword Art Online had beautiful art, animation and sound track, they are lacking in the biggest part of an anime, the characters and plot. With their plot jumping around in the first arc and a plain and cliche second arc, it was very poorly done. The characters are on a whole different level, with each character being too generic and barely having any points to the story. The main character are not much better as well, Kirito is just like every main character, a plain guy who some how becomes a babe magnet and can never lose when it counts due to the power of the main character. Plus the fanservice totally kills the serious anime Sword Art Online should be.

In the other hand in Log Horizon, they may have less quality in production, but their character and plot is way better. Each character plays a role in the series as they work together to find out about the world that they were placed in. The plot is not jumpy and really stays close to the whole gaming idea compared to Sword Art Online. Log Horizon actually links closer to an RPG game where SAO could just pull off as any other series adventure series with some tweak.

The series doesn't solely focus on one character and allows people to see many perspective of characters trapped in a game and their ideals. The main character is also very powerful like Kirito, but he is feared by many players as a devious person.

In my own opinion, as far as actual story wise, Log Horizon is way better. To be honest, if Log Horizon was released before SAO, SAO would receive the same talk about being a poor copy of Log Horizon.

OMG. Just started Log Horizon! The story line totally beat SAO.

It came out online recently, was made in the summers, no one seemed to have subbed it yet though, so it's only in raw. When it does get subbed, gotta remember the tissues. They also have a premier of the sub in American theaters, don't remember if it's over yet.

The movie came out in Japanese theaters on Aug. 31st. Came out in a small amount of American theaters in January. Came out on DVD/Blu Ray today.

What's a SAO?

Sword Art Online

Sariss 03-06-2014 06:44 AM

Log Horizion is mounds better than SAO imo. I mean, it's nice not to have episodes where you just make a girl to fall in love with the main character, then never use her again.

I agree with everything here, in my eyes as well Log Horizon has far better characters as well, with realistic emotions and so far in the 21 episodes alot of the characters devlop nicely.

Some guy in my PC repair class told me to watch log horizon the other day, so I'll probably watch it this weekend.
