That's not where the light source is.
Remaking old art gives you an idea of how much you've improved since you made the original. Also it's improvement none the less, regardless of what you're doing.

Oh and actually the light source is where I said. Sorry I said "out like" I meant to say outline but my auto correct changed it.
If you want the hilt to jut out then that's fine, I'm just suggesting it to be a bit different, but it's really just a matter of preference.
There's nothing wrong with remaking old art, I'm just saying for the sake of freshness some new stuff would be cool.
