I'm enjoying them currently, I don't listen to music 24/7 but mine get the Job done. Nice info though. I'll pm you though if I want to aim for high quality for sure.

As long as the music is enjoyable, then all is well. Music appreciation is in the heart, not the gears. /pseudo-intelligence

Do you want IEMs, full-size, on-ear...?

And I can't even recommend myself some headphones for Christmas. I cannot find any option I like in the $100-$200 range... I've been wanting a Sennheiser HD 25-1 II so badly, but they're just out of my price range. Already have the M50... I might just get some Grados to invoke the laughter of Beats owners trying to put down my headphones, just to ask them if they know what a frequency response or impedance is. Same could go for flashy headphones like the AKG K702, but - out of my priceraaaange. I am looking at the V-Moda M80 but seems too similar to my main M50...

loljk I'm gonna sell my T50p for a set of HD25-1 IIs. problem solved gg

Easy. I'm going to have to go with my main headphone, the Audio Technica ATH-M50. Widely regarded as the budget king of budget headphones (ranked #2 headphone on Head-Fi), and I can vouch that it can compete - easily - with aforementioned B&W P5. It's got a strange tone; it's remotely metallic sounding with a veil of warmth in the sound, while the sound signature itself is V-shaped (extended trebs and lows). It's my go-to headphone for rock, and has so much clarity, soundstage and instrument separation my friend (whose dad has a ridiculously good sound system) was blown away and said it felt like someone was playing the demo track in front of him. I honestly don't know what to say, it's just... Good.

I.love.you.
My uncle wanted a good pair and he just arrived from the US with two of the ATH M50's. Talon. They're just..I don't know what to say.

My budget is in the $40-50 range, i like the DJ style headphones, idk what type they are.
Music preference is alternative or metal.
Idk what open and closed back is, im not smart :P
Im looking for music quality and extreme durability. Im clumsy as hell and i drop my ipod with my headphones attached and it pisses me off so much.
