I think safest practice is to wait at least a month before a major Windows version is released before upgrading, I'll probably upgrade from 8.1 to 10 sometime in September or October

The thing is... letting people so easily change their entire OS is a headache waiting to happen. Even changing their web browser is enough to confuse them, yet alone changing the entire OS they're used to.

Windows 10 is simple enough though

Windows 10 is awsome...there are some bugs here and there but overall,i'm loving it.A noticeable i noticed was that my laptop mouse stoped to respond for some time when i move it...the click buttons still work tho.

Doesn't matter when it comes to seniors though.

This. We're using Panasonic Toughpads running Windows 8.1 for all of our guys out on the field in work at the moment, and all of our users are getting the upgrade pop up. It's an accident waiting to happen...

Personally I really like layout rather than having page before my actual homescreen, also stopped the annoying thing on laptop when scrolling going onto that screen(idk if i could of changed that before but leastdoesnt happen now)

Tyler, I read online that you can disable and hide the update so that it does not automatically download and install. This update was a pre-load and uninstalling it should rid you of all related files.

It still didn't work. It removed the window icon in the bottom right corner, but when I attempt to install updates it always says, "Installing Windows 10" and I have no idea why it keeps doing it.

Edit: Nevermind. An optional update for upgrading to Windows 10 home was selected and I didn't notice.
