THE HATEFUL SEXIST COMMENTS REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE DON'T SAY THINGS I DON'T LIKE OR IT'S RACIST AND SEXIST
(literally nothing I said was an apology for Trump or hateful or sexist)

Go defend a religion that openly murders and oppresses people more, weirdo…

Jesus man people died here no one has time to listen to your rants right now.

Thor 05-23-2017 11:10 PM

Was just watching the news about the attack, then they switched to the weather report and the weather lady began by saying "An early blast... of summer".

I am not joking.

RyanB 05-23-2017 11:14 PM

wait y r there so many suicide bombings and wtf is the purpose?

eventually (but highly unlikely) we r gonna tear ourselves apart and start a huge nukin war with isis.

Ozzy_Magus 05-23-2017 11:15 PM

Gotta say Thallens arguments are on point.

This is all a problem of passiveness, and taking the wrong choice of action after such things happen.

Legit her cancelling her whole tour aswell as posting that ridicoulous tweet is hilarious in my humble opinion.

Colin 05-23-2017 11:33 PM

To be fair, unless you've been in a similar situation it's hard to tell how you'd react, personally I would be inclined to continue the tour in honour of the ones who died, but seeing that happen can easily make people feel uncomfortable performing after.

Jokes aside, I don't see why Trump/Christianity is mentioned in here at all, there are underlying issues with Islam that need to be addressed, not justified by bringing up other religious practices or political leaders.

People more offended by Colin's obvious bait posts than they are by terrorism

so typical.

At least I'm offended. Anyone who makes jokes like were previously made doesn't appear to be offended by the terrorism at all.

But hey, criticize the people who are condemning pathetic, insensitive jokes about people losing their lives from terrorist attacks.

It's hilariously hypocritical to see hard-right Conservatives complain about how intolerant everyone on the left is, and then they proceed to make a huge deal about a tweet by a pop star that's simply saying she feels bad for what happened. They're more offended by an Ariana Grande tweet than they are of the terrorism itself.

I'll criticize openly anyone who is acting as an apologist for the spur that leads people to these types of actions, that spur being Islam. This is a much more egregious offence than trolling on the internet. It doesn't take a hard-right conservative to realize the thing that all these attacks have in common. It just takes someone to think critically for even a few moments, and abandon the notion that the feelings of people should impact your conclusion.

I didn't even have to comment on the tweet or make any jokes. The only joke is the mindset some of these people have towards this belief system that leads so many people to commit acts of terror, and will continue to do so as long as these mindsets are left unchanged.

So what's your solution? Religious persecution?

Extremism is a problem and has to be dealt with but do you really think punishing millions for the actions of a few is fair? How about our governments stop giving them weapons? Just the other day Trump made a $110bn arms deal with Saudi Arabia, a country that has supposed ties to ISIS and Trump previously claimed to be behind 9/11. But of course liberals are the problem!

America will have to decide between economic prosperity and morality

America requires to sell arms and this war is a perfect opertunity to do so ,however it is immoral and I doubt Trump will stop to sell weapons as it makes America a lot of money even if it kills a lot of people around the world.

That's too easy of a conclusion to make, though. As a CJ major, I've learned that the cause of many criminal acts isn't easy to pin down. There's millions of peaceful Muslims that don't submit to terrorist groups. Why is that? You can't paint Islam as evil and the cause of terrorism when 99% of Muslims aren't involved in terrorism. I do think critically, along with most other people discussing this issue. Don't pretend otherwise and diminish others' opinions just to further your argument. What causes a Muslim who has been peaceful for 25 years to suddenly pack up and join ISIS? What causes a non-Muslim to do that? (Because many people who join ISIS from Western Countries may not actually be Muslim). Clearly Islam isn't causing non-Muslims to join ISIS because they don't know what Islam actually practices or believes. Hardly anything in life is a one-topic issue. Terrorism is not an exception.

To those that believe differently than I do:

Seriously, what's the solution if Islam is the problem? How would we minimize/eradicate terrorism? In America, and around the world. All I hear from all sides on the political spectrum is a debate of what the problem is, but no one really discusses what the solution is.
