Better than Halo...

Agreed, I don't want to play a game where I can't shoot someone before they can react :/ halo shields are ****.

Why because Halo actually takes skill?

0.o Takes skill.... OH MAN SOMEONE SHOT ME, BETTER JUMP TWENTY FEET INTO THE AIR, TURNING SIMULTANEOUSLY AND UNLOAD A CLIP INTO HIS CHEST... after he has already put a well placed bullet into your head only to be deflected by an energy shield. Fail.

You proved my point...
Halo actually takes a little brain power, you need to take what weapon you're using into account, what weapon the enemy is using, you actually need to get all headshots if you want to win any shoot outs.

Call of Duty= fast reaction time and popping 3 bullets into someones chest...skill? You made no positive argument for CoD, only bashing Halo (inaccurately as well)

I love/hate CoD and I've been playing them for a long time. But you can't tell me that CoD takes more skill than Halo.

One can not say either requires more skill because they require different sets of skills.

Not really I mean the fundamental skills to play FPS's are obviously present in both games but CoD is just a twitch shooter.

Halo requires fast reaction times as well, but unlike CoD you actually have to follow through with your shoots, you don't just instantly kill someone if you get the shot first. Also with shields you actually get a chance to retaliate if someone gets the jump on you first.

I don't see what skills are unique to CoD, I must be missing something?

I don't know, have you been able to hop into a game of CoD and dominate with your Halo skills? I doubt you've even played CoD to the point you can actually judge it, but that applies to most of the people who criticize the game. They do so blindly, just because it's not the game THEY like.

I have played CoD quite a lot actually. Elite says I've played MW3 Matchmaking for 257 hours, checked in-game MW2: 233 hours. I never got into BO MM but I played Zombies quite a bit.

I may seem like a Halo fanboy, but that doesn't mean I haven't played CoD even if I do heavily criticize it. Just from my experience Halo takes more skill to succeed than CoD.

But back to your question I can't really utilize my "Halo skills" in a game like CoD because again, its 100% a twitch shooter that takes minimal skill, anyone can play CoD..there is almost no learning curve, its point and shoot=instant death.

According to you the skills required for CoD are not unique to CoD and are applicable to Halo, except it requires more skill... this implies you would be able to take your Halo skills and dominate CoD with your much better aim and reaction times...

I have enjoyed CoD, but I have probably put way more time into arcade-like FPS games like Halo, Timesplitters and such. CoD requires much more precise reaction. If you don't react faster and place your shot right the first time, you don't win the gunfight. That's the skill involved, and you may want to act like it's not skill but reaction time is a skill. There's a reason there are gamers out there that dominate CoD constantly and consistently -- because they have better skills at it.

If you can't jump from Halo to CoD and dominate CoD with Halo-developed skills, then quite obviously they require a different set of skills. If they didn't require different skills, then the transition would be flawless.

Not like it matters, who the **** really cares? The only people who seem to care so much about the other game are the types of people who just want to call it ****ty because they like another game better. I enjoy both types of games, and I don't see the point in trying to make one out to be better. Can't people just enjoy games because they're fun to play for a change, instead of making everything into a god damn competition?

I think both games are fun especially with the hours I've put into them. I just believe one takes more skill.
I think I'll end it here though.

I actually didn't find much appeal to BF3.
