Looks like there are 2 choices:
1. Everything droppable
2. Nothing droppable.

I would just remove the drop system then. If it was just to give gifts to friends, then let's do this:

You must add a person to your friend list and they must be your friend for at 3 months or more to be able to gift eachother items.

Instead of dropping there could be a button that says "gift" and you can type the name of the person to gift it too.

What if you accidentally removed them?

End of day, it never should of got as far as it did without proper planning in place.

I like the work Snk does, but he doesn't always fully think about the knock on effects :p

As Street said, anything bought in a store shouldn't be tradable, especially event items also, this way the money will still leave the economy as people will have to buy those items from a store; holiday items imo should stay as holiday items, if you miss the event, we should either do a special event sometime throughout the year for a certain period where you can buy some stuff you missed, or put those items up for event items (so purchased with ec, event items.. holiday/event, makes sense to me?)

I'm all for trading but, I don't want it to ruin this game like it ruined Era PC :[

No on the trading system. As Street once said, the owners of the game don't want a free economy in which other players can capitalize in certain assets, whether it be guns, melees, or currency. In an open market such as one created by a trading system, the demand for certain items is determined by the supply of the item (infinite, in our case). Prices are set by developers. If we allowed trading of items such as guns, prices will decline way below the original price set for the item. Why? Because when players find no more use for, say, a BAR, they will sell it for a lesser price to appeal to players and use the money to buy a new gun. Eventually the price players set tend to turn into an accepted status quo, which is indefinitely lower than store prices. When this happens, the players' money circulates only through players as opposed to Gralats disappearing when an item in a store is purchased. When money circulates through players, eventually the need for purchasing Gralat Packs is gone as players can just easily sell items to gain money.

This is an issue for any game developer with no outside revenue source. When players are constantly shelling for money, soon all of the money will STAY in circulation through the players, assuming items are bought at lower prices from other players (which any rational player will do). When this happens, TONS of money will be, and stay in the economy which ultimately defeats the purpose of buying packs. This means no revenue for the game owners. Our current system regulates this by forcing players to buy items in-store. Having money disappear when items are bought in-store lessens the amount of money circulating in the economy. When there is less money going around, players are more inclined to buy Gralat packs - that is where game owners make their profit.

I agree with you one hundred percent,Talon. But the thing is. The guns have to be purchased somewhere. Each gun that gets scammed/sold cheaper has to be bought.

I think you should give this a trial and see what kind of catastrophies we have ahead of us. xD Or if our community is nice enough and more organized.(Which I highly doubt).

But a trade system for droppables would be nice.

No no no no no, this kind of thing does long term damage, you wont see it in the short term, you'll be like HEY ADMINS SEE, ITS OK!!
Then further down the line it'll be ****ed up and we'll have to draw several million gralats out of the economy by raising prices.

exactly the trading at the moment is fine if people only do it with people they trust. A proper trading system would not be as good as people think. Only the rich would prosper as they could buy gralet packs to buy the new items that have gone up in price. This would allow them to be in a good position for trading and they could get away with asking for stupid things.

The poorer people will lose out in the long run, it works like that on every game with trading :[

yeah then the playercount will go down. Also a lot of people with lots of money might not want to waste on overpriced weapons so they would quit too. But the advantage of all this people will stop asking for trade system

V. 08-27-2012 06:19 PM

Why can't we just have a trading system for drop-ables only? It stops scammers and it won't affect the economy. Please, just add this. That way we can stop things like this outcry from happening ever again.

PLEASE!

it still won't be too effective as people will rely on that to get new melees and stuff instead of buying them
