I don't like how the cortana bar takes up so much space...
Still tho :D Ask cortana if she knows siri :p |
Just going to drop this here;
"Microsoft recently updated its EULA for Windows 10, noting that the operating system can seek out and potentially disable any pirated software, like games, running on your PC. The new clause in question is found under section 7b of the EULA, which says that Microsoft may check your software at any time and download updates or make configuration changes. “We may automatically check your version of the software and download software updates or configuration changes, including those that prevent you from accessing the Services, playing counterfeit games, or using unauthorized hardware peripheral devices. You may also be required to update the software to continue using the Services”." |

I'd love to go back to Windows 7, but I've found Windows 8.1/10 to be so much faster. I'm not sure how much of a difference I'd see now though seen as I'm running on an SSD.
|
Honestly, I think that Microsoft is in the right for doing this change. Downloading counterfeit software is not only illegal, but it hurts the developers that made the software.

This is probably their own Trojan Horse. What people do with their computers isn't any business of large corporations. Now if you'll excuse, I've got some porn to watch. |

I'm not sure why Windows would introduce this I'm sure they're getting paid a lump sum of money because it doesn't benefit them at all. It actually more so does the opposite, lessening the value of Windows 10 tbh. |

What kind of revenue do these idiots think they're going to generate with old game titles for outdated consoles when newer games for newer consoles are already on the market? Its like giving an old cow that can't produce milk anymore to a child as a pet but then deciding that cow has some sort of value left in it and then slam the poor kid with a cease and desist. |

Using counterfeit software as the poster boy just makes it sound less dodgy. |
What about heavily / unofficially modded software? It seems possible that Microsoft's detectors could flag anything that appears out of the norm even if it was obtained by legitimate means.
And for that matter, what business does Microsoft have automatically modifying my files without my consent? There's a lot of gray area for potential misunderstanding there, and it's even more concerning when considered that they could potentially erase your work (i.e. if you mod a game) without your knowledge. |
My aunt says all the games she got through "free app of the day" are blocked now because it still says she hasn't paid for them.
They didn't really go into as much detail as they should have with a matter like this, which is another reason it sounds more dodgy. |

This entire thing sounds like a huge scandal just waiting to get the dirt wiped off its face. |
