Lava does look quite crap... I await the day Graal gets a default unified lighting system (glow from lava anyone?) plus the ability to create a TShowImg and designate it as an openGL context. High quality animated textures with the ability to properly react to lighting situations. With this, I'd be happy walking across a bridge over bubbling lava, putting a real time dynamic glow on all nearby objects :)
Of course, attempting real time lighting ATM just destroys Graal since it's relying solely on the CPU which can cripple even a high end CPU for the most basic scenes without even beginning to think of providing features standard for openGL/DirectX. Do it, Stefan! |
The iOS/Flash version of Graal doesn't even support default tile animation(flowers), probably because of the cpu usage it would require. So I highly doubt any of that will ever happen.

2013 game that barely looked different in 1998 can barely support animated flowers. that's real promising. i think the early 90's link to the past had better graphics or so x-x

Looks nice! :)

It will be funny because new players won't know how the old tile set looked liked.
With the winter one on right now the trees look way different. |

Scripting it would cause the CPU to work overtime, but making it a built-in function should work better. |

I hope it comes out soon. I find some of the new trees around.
