god dammit, I was away.

I do not think they hacked. I was in a skype call with iijasomn, cat, imprint, and buneary and I can tell you that cat and imprint were killed legitemently with TNT. Obviouslly it was a bit unfair that they were able to snatch up all the loot from the cornucopia while everyone else dug themselves underground due to no-pk, but I still feel that if iijasomn and I hadn't drowned to an ice glitch, that we would have been able to kill a few of them.

Also, the reason they found everyone was probably due to nametags. You could see someone's name even if they were at bedrock level and you were at the surface.

Not if you sneak, and it doesnt show up that far away. Theres no way they could have located specific players from across the map, even when sneaking.

You cancel sneak-mode when you open your inventory, chatlog, crafting, etc. Unless you never did any of those things the entire game, it is very possible that they would be able to find you.

I hope the next Graalians MC hunger games goes a lot smoother, and without pointless accusations.

I also hope matt kan find a way to make sure there are no alliances next time, because even if you guys didn't hack, 6 people teaming up against everyone else and organizing things over a skype call is not really fair.

Well, I don't know what's going on here exactly, but somehow Kilik found me in my bedrock-level mine and killed me with TNT. It just seems unlikely to me that he found the mine, then followed it all the way down (I covered my tracks pretty well with stone) and snuck up on me like that. I'm not complaining about losing, if they legitimately killed all those people then props to them.

regardless it cant be seen that far away, its hard to notice, especially when its so small and blends in and isnt moving
and i was sneaking the whole time they approached.

I was digging down because i had just killed imprint and saw your name. found some cobble and mined it out then i fell into a hole close enough to see you digging, thats when i went at you with tnt lol. higbey i happened to find BECAUSE i was tailing imprint and chased him into a tree and he was right under in a little fort.

After reading everything, I've come to me own opinion that they didn't hack, but did have an unfair advantage. It's not up to me to decide whether or not they get their prize, but I think a second attempt at having this run smoother would be great, and hopefully I might be able to play this time. It would also be nicer if it happened earlier than the end of the month, but you know. :P. A Halloween-themed map with a thick forest and cobwebs everywhere would be fun too. :P

we have a pretty creepy jungle map i helped make.

Is it dark under the foliage? Are there cobwebs around every corner?

I guess it's partially my fault for not having more anti-hacking stuff installed, but I still stand by my decision. Next time there will be some security measures taken, which I'll explain closer to the game itself. I hope that the next games will go a lot smoother. Here are some things that I'm going to improve on:
  • Hacking, etc. There is a solution and you'll find out about it later.
  • The terrain was a bit unsuitable for fighting. It was a bit too easy to be snuck up on which I suppose made it hard but at the same time was a bit ridiculous. It's not easy fighting on rough terrain and whoever has the highest ground is almost certainly going to win.
  • The cornucopia was hidden... I thought more people would find it but I guess not. Most people didn't even know there was a cornucopia.
  • The loot in the cornucopia was extremely over powered. There won't be experience inside there next time and probably not an enchantment table. It won't be enough to help a giant team so much as one person.
  • The opening being non-pvp was not intentional. It was a glitch with godmode. This won't happen in the next games.
  • Instead of everybody being dropped into a pool, people will most likely be positioned around the cornucopia.
  • The next games will probably be hosted on November 10.

If you have any other feedback or suggestions please share so I can take it into account. Thanks to everybody who played.

It's hard to believe that the last Hunger Games was 2.5 years ago. Reading this makes me super nostalgic for Graalians Minecraft in general.

If we were to do a type of "reunion" games, would anybody be interested? Looking through this thread, there's a ton of stuff that would need to be different. But I think it could be a fun night if there's enough interest.
