The legs are too far apart, and the stance of the feet look really odd mainly in the second character. I wouldn't advise trying to do crow feet lol, but the rest is really good :blush:

WIP of my Guild Wars 2 character; another portrait-y thing, except more in the style of how painters used to paint war commanders/military leaders (if you know about the storyline, u'll get it). it's not there yet obviously :( lots of work left still

The thing that gets me is the background, looks really scribbly, and its not very subtle so it just looks messy, that alone subtracts from the badassness of the rest of the piece.

Is it possible for you to post the settings of the brush preset you use? i really like that style but am never able to replicate it. Just basing off what I see i'd assume your using a softer brush with probably 80-90% opacity with some kind of pen pressure setting since I assume you use a tablet

Also do you use a colour pallete or just randomly pick colours

I'm just wondering since your colours have so much tone and variations in shades that really complement each other, especially in your character hairs
