people can video chat on Graal now? I don't see ppl going on video and fapping like on there lol...

If they're asking to get people to chat on Skype then yes, it's quite easy to get video involved.

I understand the dirty roleplay part because its happening in-game messages, but whats wrong with asking people to chat on skype? I think if the person is not outright saying its dirty or even implying it, then it should be okay to do.

I imagine this problem came from somewhere, not just the staff randomly thinking "hey, it's make a rule against asking for skype!" This is giving staff the benefit of the doubt, though. Chances are people walk around, asking random people to add them on skype/msn or something and then proceed to initiate something inappropriate(either sending hacks/video chat or something). If you do want to talk to someone outside of Graal and you've established some of communication already, I don't imagine they'll be watching your PMs so just PM them to add you there.

I suspect this has way more to do with randomly spamming random players to add them then talking to a friend and saying "oh ya, you can contact me here ____."

There isn't a problem with you giving your Skype to some friends. It's a different story when you are advertising it to potential predators and there are some questionable motives behind it.

So basically staff are just randomly picking players that roleplay and looking at their private messages incase they are doing something sexual. Yep. It's reached club penguin status. You've got a bunch of teenagers, a marriage system, and the anomity of the internet. What the hell do you think is going to happen? Stay out of peoples personal lives. All you are doing is making the situation worse. Sure the ones that are saying sexual stuff should be punished, but this is just creepy. I don't want staff reading my messages without just cause.

Basically, advertisers should be given little bans. You can ruin the game by glitching in towers and get banned for less than you can for something that the game brought on itself and can't possibly stop without censoring and ruining it till it feels like a little kiddy game.

Players under 13 aren't supposed to even play. It's their parents job. You've got far more important problems to deal with than this, and a one month ban is just bloody ridiculous

I think you've summed it up.

Roleplaying should be fine, considering this game is a MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Play Game).

Everyone sees Role Play in bold correct? Thought so.

Yes, the idea in this context seems extremely noob-ish, but its just a game. Take away the thing that makes you move up/down repeatedly w/ reaching arms whenever you are running into walls (or running into the front side of other players...)

Skill 05-19-2012 11:25 PM

rping is probably the best aspect of graal... They take away that and pking on the map, what do we have left?

Where does it say this? And don't refer to the PC T&C that nobody ever sees.

I was chatting to some ten year old who told me her 5 year old sister plays this game. They were reporting me for saying poo. I somehow think this game is a little too child-friendly at the moment.

I agree that there is no problem with role playing what so ever but the sexual role playing has gotten way out of hand and there is a lot of 11 or younger players on this game and they learn to much of sexual references from older people telling them things and having virtual sex on the game, so i agree with with the banning of sexual role playing but not regular role playing.

I agree strongly with that bit right there.

13 is usually the set age requirement for massively multiplayer games, cant remember what it is on the app store, but its usually a rule of thumb, its not really written in stone as you cant really enforce it as you dont know the players real age.

Life 05-20-2012 12:52 AM

I totally agree with Higbey, and have you noticed that the app store age for Graal Classic is 4 years old +?!?!? That's just wrong.

they only had to do that because of cartoon violence and the taunt with the shaking the butt,

Life 05-20-2012 12:58 AM

(i dont know how to do a quote) They should make it at least 13 + for MMORPG.

Rexx 05-20-2012 12:58 AM

Usually "online actions" for games are not rated, you can't rate what people will do or say online. So the game is rated on the actual content, and for graal it is little swords and bombs, no blood or gore, 2D cartoon graphics with cute little people. I think thats where the 'ages 4+' rating comes from.
But i still disagree with that, swinging your sword and throwing bombs at other people is still SOME small degree of violent behaviour, not fit for a 4 year old.
