Wonder what will happen in the next season. There doesn't seem to be some overarcing plot like the first show, and apparently this show won't be as long(I think only two seasons? :() so curious... curious indeed.

The ending was excellent.

I loved Avatar. Sometimes, when I was sick a year or two ago, I'd go on my netflix on my game console and watch avatar all day long.

I've seen the commercials about Legend of Korra. I didn't know what to expect, so I haven't watched it. But reading this thread convinced me to watch some!

Im going to see this show whenever I can. Im determined *_*

If she is Aang's reincarnation, how is air bending her weak spot? or is it because every avatar chosen has a different personality? I watched a bit of the original with my cousins using Netflix.

Friendly mushroom was the best part.

All of the avatars are completely unique, separate people, ignoring the obvious avatar master-of-all-elements thing.

Im sorry, but I'm pretty sure this was required.

Okay, I went a little overboard.

Exactly, she is a reincarnation, not a clone. She has past lives, but she doesn't inherit their life, if that makes sense... or else there'd be no reason to relearn the elements and so on.

However, when an Avatar enters the avatar state they DO possess all the past knowledge/lives of all the past avatars; however if they die in that state then the avatar cycle is broken(because all the past lives are currently part of the Avatar).

Ohh I get it. I haven't seen every episode, just barely 1 season.

Then watch the first show. It's awesome, plus a whooooooole lot of stuff in Korra will make a lot more sense.

I like how Irow takes out the whole fleet of airplaines single handed.

Damn i was totally wrong about amon. I had a feeling that he wasn't even real and was from the spirit world. Probabaly Koh the face stealer or the owl who made the spirit library, knowing that amon lied about his past. Or that earth bender that went with aang and stayed in the library forever.

But i have a feeling that Amon did visit the spirit library in order to learn this "advance chi blocking," taking away bending at what not. Hoping that they base season 2 on the spirit world. Would make it a lot interesting.

Would also love to know what happened to Ty Lee and Azula, and most importantly ZUKOS MOM??

Well, I finished watching the first Season yesterday. Loved it. I just wish it could be longer, but I read somewhere that they didn't want to to be because you'd already seen everywhere in the original series :(.

Which is true, of course...

It also just seems way to modern to me, probably because I'm used to the nice traditional one I used to watch whilst eating breakfast on a Saturday.

Finally, it seems a whole lot more serious. Do you think it is all due to it being towards the same crowd, who would be older now, or just my imagination? It happened with J.R.R. Tolkien, when he wrote the Hobbit, for children, and then, years later, LOTR, for those same now-grown up children.

I got chills when Korra finally went into the avatar state.

So much more serious. It's a completely different feeling watching this show incompared to The Last Airbender. Korra is such a suspenceful show, that just keeps you thinking and thinking about it as you're watching.

I really like the scene when Korra was in the box and she was seeing the court hearing. It was interesting to see the original series characters all grown up.

Honestly I thought the Legend of Korra season finale was meh. [spoilers] The whole Korra/mako thing is generic and lots of things were rushed, especially the conflict between Asami and her father and the ending. But there were lots of action plane scenes, that was cool. Overall I was not satisfied though. It's a great show as a whole of course, I mean they only were allowed a 12 episode mini series at first and this is what it was supposed to be, but Nickelodeon ordered another season. Hopefully they can spread it out and make it longer, and maybe there can be some more Amon backstory in there, because hes a great character.

The more i think about it though the more it seems the events of the last two episodes of the legend of korra could have been extended to make the season into 20 episodes, like the original series. There's so much that was rushed and left out at the wrong times, it would have been amazing to have something like a 3 episode flashback fully explaining Amons story and not leaving out any details. Oh well. What's done is done...
