Thing about raising prices after so long is it screws over any chance of getting new players. Any new player will now have to earn basically 8x the cost of the guns original prices that all the older players got for significantly cheaper.
You could pretty much buy the whole oasis gunstore guns for almost the same price it will now cost to buy the single cheapest gun there

It is too bad that this change was not made earlier in development.
Raising prices and having expensive guns does not kill the chances of getting new players at all tho.
If you remember era raised prices back when it started as well. guns started getting expensive. all the old players got some guns for cheaper than new players then would have to pay. they also did this in events with the addition of event coins. where players used to win an item for winning a single event now they had to win multiple events to get the same item. that didn't kill the chances of getting new players because to new players it is normal. there is nothing to complain about because it is normal to them. When guns first became expensive in era players got quite angry just like here because that was not normal yet and they didn't understand the reason behind it. Now you look at it and people expect nothing less than extremely expensive guns because that is normal. The only reason anybody complains about these kinds of changes is because previously to them it was not normal.
The way the rebalanced of guns works allows for even the cheap lower tier guns to be able to compete with the high tier guns giving new players good enough weapons to still have a competitive chance in combat until they save up enough for the more expensive high tier guns.

Guns prices are influenced by tier. currently the pricing range is as such.
T1: 1k-5k
T2: 5k-10k
T3: 35k - 70k
T4: 80k +

If you are comparing to era yes our guns do suck. that is because we are not era. the way era balances guns where the only criteria you buy a weapon by is if it shoots fast, has low freeze, and does a lot of damage, is not how our guns work anymore.

If you are referring to the natures destroyer and the rons those are T4. the only T5 events gun is the Freddys and from my testing so far they seem to be more than good enough. no guns should be able to absolutely blow every other out of the water. higher tier should be preferred because they are slightly better than lower tier guns of the same class but they should not be op. This promotes more skill based play instead of relying on the weapon. |
