Never been such a great fan of Beckham, like players like Zidane more.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Though, I know 3 professional players in-real life. :shy:

Love how this turned into soccer now. >=o

Stop right there! Keeping in mind I haven't read the last two pages of this thread due to laziness which I will do after I post, I'd like to say two things:
  • Don't count calories - count sugar intake
  • It's better to build muscle than to do cardio.
Firstly, with the calories, sugar is pretty much pure energy. I remember reading a story about this man who increased his sugar intake by a lot but ate the same amount of calories as he normally would and he gained a lot of fat and he almost gained diabetes.
EDIT: Found it! Tl;dr? Famous Aussie actor ate 'health' foods containing his usual 2300 calories but 40grams of sugar and gained 8.5kg in 2 months, and almost developed type 2 diabetes, liver disease, and more.

Not exactly the same thing however it does lead into my next paragraph quite well:

Secondly, cardio trains you body to be more efficient with using its energy to run and do physical activity. Cardio is good for your body, don't get me wrong, but muscle burns 6 kcalories for every unit compared to 2 kcalories for fat. Therefore, if fat makes up 25% of your weight, if you turned 15% of it into muscle you would increase your daily caloric needs by 30% (I may have done my maths wrong, please correct me if I have). Muscle building is a much better long term solution than cardio. Cardio burns calories when you run but muscle building burns calories while you sleep! And, don't worry about being musclely if you are a girl (it's totally fine to be musclely anyway!). Testosterone, the hormone in charge of muscle building, is about 15-70 units in females. In males, it's anywhere from 150-700. So go for it!
Too lazy to find where I read this, however if you want me to find some I'd be happy to.

Excuse my grammar and spelling, I am rather tired at the moment

thats not to say you shouldn't be watching your sugar intake, it's really not healthy to eat the amount of sugar most americans do.
