Hmm seems to be the only real flaw in the plan. There are times when all staff aren't on or only 3 are on and have to be doing something other than monitoring.
I'd thing of a system, similar to the stop boosting PK's one, but then again, when two gangs join even in a packed room they will more often than not fight each other more than 3 times in a row 3:
My suggestion would be only enable spar gang points when a staff member announces it therefore it is monitored and boosting is minimal to none. Keep the gang spar points and the gang spar separate I guess is what I'm saying

Please, you're just trying to advocate the exclusivity of EC so no one else has your precious rainbow lightsaber, because if they did, you wouldn't feel you're special and superior to the rest of the playerbase.

No, what snk is saying is that you can only get pk points for your gang in gang bases, which kinda limits gangs purely for pk. For example, and I already said this, if a gang takes a base while you're racking up pk points, you get kicked out, which would be annoying. And besides, if you put "gang" in front of anything, people will swarm to it XD

Gangs right now focus on one thing- base hours. There are long term prizes for this, which will stay. This won't be effected.

However, what about Player Killing (PK) and Sparring? No real rewards. So, I've been speaking with lots of players (gang owners, spar players etc) and this is what we think will be better.

The deaths part adds an incentive for gangs to not just go and noob recruit and actually recruit loyal members. Also it will help balance out any boosting that may take place.

I was thinking that too

But on the other hand someone might join "loyally" just to screw you over when you and whatever co's you have are offline. I can see many instances going wrong with that/people lying, being paid to do dirty work. Ex: I pay a guy in a gang I don't like 1000 shells to die purposefully over and over and guarantee him a spot in my guild. Etc etc

It's like a two sided coin, hmm

Also another problem is people will want to continue joining those guilds that are already active and running taking over the leader boards. This will hinder making new basing guilds as everyone will just join the ones with the most points already. Which will in turn just ruin basing more because there will be no challenge at all.

The gang guns would be good,the leader buys it with the points and it lasts for a week and everyone in the gang gets it. Will surely get your gang members active.I'd like to see lr16 as a gang gun,pk2's,metalstorm,hypershell ect..

But will it be like,each kill in spar gets 1 point,and it will be the same as pk points so they will combine? Say 3299 points,from spar and pk kills together?

I don't like the base points lost for deaths, it might encourage people to join a gang then late at night troll to make the gang lose points by intentionally dieing.

I guess you can't really prevent things like that completely but it still should atleast add an interesting and unique twist to basing and gangs.
