Also Read the manga, the ending felt forced and rushed. They practically had two choices, reveal the twist or not. Through the manga, the reveal was had a much better shock factor and eased in nicely while the anime just blatantly put it right there in front of you with no build up or anything. The anime had two choices, both bound to get some backlash, either go with what they did and try to make an eventful ending, or not. I would prefer they tried to steady the relationship between the character and just show their bonds growing and leave the plot twist for the second season, but then it could also feel forced jumping right into it. But what can you do, anime is time restricted while novels have the freedom of space.

On another note about how anime is made, it sucks that Taboo Tattoo have to relocate their animation budget to specific scenes, while the fights are glorious, everything else with still long key frames are unsettling on the eyes.

It's just not that though, Kairu's whole thing was just bad. I expected a little more from this series and was disappointed.

Taboo tattoo is disgusting, the fighting scenes were awesome almost reminded me of hamatora only a little bit but I cant stand the fact they dont have enough money to afford more work in the more trivial scenes, they have to skip them and I die a little everytime they do.

The anime started off pretty decent but then it went to **** half way, it was definitely rushed and had a **** ending, I want my wasted hours back please.

I didnt watch it nor did I want to yet cuz I'm not a fan of berserk period just because of how its plot is. I feel if I watch it or read it id get into it maybe.

Ive been busy keeping up with Psycho pass cuz I promised Id watch it cuz my bday is August.

The manga is quite good though the actual romance feels quite rushed imo.

I wasnt surprised at the twist but by why they reveled it, it just seemed like a random time to show it.

because it was forced in, an anime original attempt to hook the viewers into wanting a second season. I recommend reading the whole manga, if not then start from chapter 102 which is the moment when they go to the festival.
