Blacklist anything explosive and limit fire damage. I don't want fire to be gone entirely because you can still make nether portals with fire :O

Right now there's three groups:

-Default
-grief1
-grief2

If you abuse Tekkit, you get put in grief1 which prohibits you from using or even picking up a huge amount of items. I show no mercy to you guys.

If you find some way to abuse the server in grief2, then I put you in grief1 which takes away pretty much anything that can be abused in even the smallest way.

Right now, there's no blacklisted items for everybody, but I'll have to set that up, like I said, sparingly, and then post a list. If you have any suggestions please let me know because I'll be the first to admit that my knowledge of Tekkit isn't exactly extraordinary.

Remove firespread and TNT. We don't need those.

Fixed, though no one really needs to know the details. o_o

Also to the ones abusing TNT, way to **** it up for the rest of us. You're the reason explosions, fire and lava get handicapped on every damn server. I haven't been able to play for several days due to my work schedule and someone 'over extending' the server.

In this case its probably not so much of a problem with map corruption (though that does actually cause massive lag at times too). Its that Matt is no where near the console most of the time to restart it or put in new mods for when people yammer about plugins (myself :D) and when people whõre out the entire server's CPU to themselves using intensive loops that never turn off or excessive TNT that they know will crash the server.

Edit: Also your world anchors cover 3x3 chunks. The hell would you need 7 for o_o

Well the server had crashed and wouldn't be available till Matt got back to his computer- technically if Matt gave someone something like VNC access. It would give them easy access to reboot the server/tweak settings (like to himself from a different console).

But when giving VNC to someone else- you're literally giving them access to everything you can do on your comp.

As a safer alternative theres a TelNet wrapper, http://wiki.bukkit.org/Server_Remote_Toolkit But given the server was completely locked up I doubt doing anything in the server's console will have effect.

Apparently keeping it night forever using a watch of flowing time is abuse. now iijasom killed me and only gave me back half my stuff. I am missing swiftwolfs rending gale and a klein star drei. i worked really hard to get the materials to make these and now theyre gone. not to mention they are really expensive in EMC.

Iijasom tells me that he warned you not to use the Overclocker to make it constantly night anymore, and you ignored him and continued to do so. He, as you know, killed you and took it away from you. It was far better than the alternative, which was to block you from using Tekkit items completely.

Nonetheless, I've asked him to return everything to you, including the Overclocker. Please consider this your final warning.

There was an issue which I won't post here since it can be abused. However, the person who accidentally caused it knows not to do it and it will be fixed soon so that the lag does not come back.

Smart Moving

The Server has Smart Moving installed :
• Download this file [GMC-smartmoving-tekkit.zip]
• Extract it somewhere and run the Install.bat if you're computer illiterate.

- Make sure the client is closed when patching.

If you want to play with GLSL Shaders* like Sonic Ether's or DaxNitro while using Tekkit and Smartmoving just ask for it.
The procedure is a complete pain, so I have a modpack available for it.

I have a problem

A bug happened in tekkit where I could see Save1-Save6. I didn't know what it did so I clicked on one and my chest disappeared! I didn't have a lot of really valuable stuff, I just need some stuff that was in that chest. Could you please give me the things I lost?

25 diamonds
8 diamond transport pipes
about 30 iron ingots
2 gold ingots
64 coal
Destruction Catalyst
Philosopher's Stone
Quarry
about 4 engines

That's all I can think of at the moment.

If there is a way to check logs or something, please do. I'm not lying.

Not too much, basically affects how the gaps between ladders are treated- and in 'hard' your stamina bar gets sucked used up a lot faster on just about everything, for example: climbing a ladder will make your stamina go down.

Also Tractx and some other guy popped on within 2 minutes of one another- other guy mentioned "Lag".
Within those 2 minutes the lag delay went from 0.1sec to 3~6sec

Edit: And now the server just buckled under it's own lag and crashed.

GOD DAMNIT MATT. AT LEAST TELL ME THE AREA YOU WERE IN OR RESTART THE SERVER SO I CAN EITHER FIX THE PROBLEM OR ACTUALLY PLAY. JESUS ****ING CHRIST. Just leaving like that isn't beneficial to anyone!

Edit : And yes I'm annoyed by the needless inconvenience for the past few days in a row; I've seen people freak out over less.

There was an area by my house causing uber-lag, but the problem has been completely fixed.

I'm looking for some builders who can help with community projects in creative mode. See me online if you're interested.
