He probably said "after christmas" because christmas is an event that requires a lot of time from graphics and development staff; meaning the castle project was probably paused for the month.
My thoughts on this: The Castle itself seems to be transforming into a Zelda-esque dungeon/quest, likely using interactive puzzle features that are seen in the shop. I dont think those shop items are actually going to be usable towers to defend... Its probably a furniture store so players can make their own puzzles in their houses. |
Looking forward to the new update, patiently waiting!

I wonder if the outside of Castle will look different as well.
|
I hope the castle is tall. Taller than sardon.both kinds

Everyday I look at castle and breath out *

The only reason it would be in his house or guildhouse would be because they're furniture items, otherwise they would have been tested inside a level that is not even accesible to normal players |
Waiting for new Guild system as I slowly die inside

And yet there was a time when we saw Dusty testing the new spikes for sards in his house, and they're not furniture items |

Testing something where random people can peek just seems odd unless you're forced to be in the environment of testing the furniture with house mechanics |

I'm hoping it's deep... as in procedurally generated dungeon deep :3 |
No procedural dungeons, sorry. As much as I'd love to I don't think Graal would be able to handle that without some lower level assistance. It's best not to hype it up too much.

For real, it's better to not announce things after xmas when they aren't even out after New Year. :l |
"sometime after Christmas"
10 days later after Christmas and counting... |
Ladies please... keep your knickers on. This behaviour is nothing new. Get use to it.

Although I enjoy a good sneak peak from time to time, maybe it's best if staff don't give sneak peaks for future updates since this is how players respond...

A lot of players also translated the end of tower guild rewards to the new guild system being released soon, and that was in May of 2016 When players are pressuring staff to do what they've teased, it's only because they're skeptical from past experiences or the lack of updates in general |

I'm saying no one should be surprised when players are eager for changes, especially when we've gone 1.5 years without a significant content update
People like Agonee probably see all the quality of work put into stuff like the Nexus releases, that frog event (when bugs went missing), the recent Halloween quest, etc., and wish it went into more permanent content, which is 100% understandable, and that's why they pressure and ask where stuff like Castle and the new guild system is at |

And the clubs (nexus, rev, crypt) serve the same purpose to a degree. Soooo much of the nexus content would be awesome to have permanent somewhere in the game, though. The bucking bronco from wild west and the sushi bar from japan come to mind... Even if it were just for fun and the rewards were time limited, a ton of work went into those events. A lot of content has been introduced without being fleshed out and, later on, been removed as well. I'm definitely looking forward to the castle, but also appreciate the direction club crypt and deadwood has gone in. It gives something to look forward to when the time comes. |
I'm waiting for new castel
