These look like things a guild can buy to help them defend their tower. That would be pretty cool.

If I'm not mistaken, it's meant to be furniture for your house. If that's the case, I think that this is supposed to be a way for you to create a fort in your very house for teams/guilds to take. If so, I think this is a great for players who like to host events in their (guild)house.

Just realized I kept starting my sentences with it...

It was never confirmed that those items were going to be furniture. With the New Guild System™ coming out soon, my guess as to what they are are as good as any.

You're right, it was never confirmed and you could be correct. However, knowing how Classic tries to keep their competitive aspects balanced and relying more on skill, I highly doubt that these items are items that guilds can use to improve the fort.

I think some strategic defensive items to help stop the inevitable mob of people trying to earn points once the new system is released could be a good thing. Furniture's cool too though.

Well, logically yes, by saying after Xmas I think it's be4 new year, else you should've said after new year

twilit 12-27-2016 04:16 PM

He probably said "after christmas" because christmas is an event that requires a lot of time from graphics and development staff; meaning the castle project was probably paused for the month.

My thoughts on this: The Castle itself seems to be transforming into a Zelda-esque dungeon/quest, likely using interactive puzzle features that are seen in the shop. I dont think those shop items are actually going to be usable towers to defend... Its probably a furniture store so players can make their own puzzles in their houses.

GTrinity 12-27-2016 06:43 PM

Looking forward to the new update, patiently waiting!

I remember seeing a few of those leaked item images in a previous post by Dusty showing other furniture objects in a clutter at his guild house. Whatever it is, it's been in development for a while now, and will no doubt be awesome...

You'd think it's logical but it's not.
The only reason it would be in his house or guildhouse would be because they're furniture items, otherwise they would have been tested inside a level that is not even accesible to normal players

I remember hearing rumors of this since May this year, and I have no doubts that the graal staff team is doing something that may be the best thing they have done in years.

And yet there was a time when we saw Dusty testing the new spikes for sards in his house, and they're not furniture items

How do you know they're not being tested as furniture though
Testing something where random people can peek just seems odd unless you're forced to be in the environment of testing the furniture with house mechanics

Dusty 12-28-2016 08:43 PM

No procedural dungeons, sorry. As much as I'd love to I don't think Graal would be able to handle that without some lower level assistance. It's best not to hype it up too much.

Keep in mind that the last significant content update was Destiny, which released May 26th, 2015
A lot of players also translated the end of tower guild rewards to the new guild system being released soon, and that was in May of 2016

When players are pressuring staff to do what they've teased, it's only because they're skeptical from past experiences or the lack of updates in general

So basically you're making an educated prediction that the castle might release on May? I'm not trying to saying that you are, but still..

Thallen 01-06-2017 09:12 AM

I'm saying no one should be surprised when players are eager for changes, especially when we've gone 1.5 years without a significant content update

People like Agonee probably see all the quality of work put into stuff like the Nexus releases, that frog event (when bugs went missing), the recent Halloween quest, etc., and wish it went into more permanent content, which is 100% understandable, and that's why they pressure and ask where stuff like Castle and the new guild system is at

This is why the onnet general store is good.

And the clubs (nexus, rev, crypt) serve the same purpose to a degree.

Soooo much of the nexus content would be awesome to have permanent somewhere in the game, though. The bucking bronco from wild west and the sushi bar from japan come to mind... Even if it were just for fun and the rewards were time limited, a ton of work went into those events.

A lot of content has been introduced without being fleshed out and, later on, been removed as well. I'm definitely looking forward to the castle, but also appreciate the direction club crypt and deadwood has gone in. It gives something to look forward to when the time comes.

When people talk about the middle of a month like this, they generally mean anywhere from 10-20, or during the second portion of the month (if divided into thirds).
