Your guild only has 1.8k hours because admins said 1k hats were over so yall were going for 5k on fb because that was the only way for you guys to get a hat. Notice how your guild completely died when the merge happened. Not to mention didn't you give your guild to some hat hunter and he did all of the work for you? You aren't going to break any "barrier" with this history of your guild.

In order to stop all the issues with people joining a guild with high hours, kissing up, getting 1K hat, then repeating, hats for tower hours should just be removed and all the complainers can go b*tch about it somewhere else.

Somebody's trying to start a riot....Actually They tried that before,and the hat chasers revolted. It didn't go over well for the admins so it got changed back, and so the hat chasing continues.

No offence to anyone,but my suggestion to anybody that wants to complain about the butt kissing hat chasers that come in to "help" get the last couple hundred hours,and end up getting that hat. Is simply this: (and no I don't like it either) If you want to stop it make your own guild and get it to 1k so you have control over who gets the hat and who doesn't.

There are lots of different scenerios that can happen through the course of towering ,and when it comes down to choosing who gets the hat after hitting 1k it actually ends up being a harder decision than you realize.

I agree tho that the 1k hat system is dumb,and needs changed.

There is so many tower takers on this website but how many are in the 4 guilds that are actually not being hat guilds atm? (SoN, CoM, Voyage, or Reborn)

You forgot UFO we are no where near a hat getting milestone atm. I have been asked to join other guilds closing in on 1k like FH. By others who have been known to hat chase,but I always decline unless bored then I only help for that day. I have a couple 1k hats so I don't feel the need to go hat chase.

I'm much happier being in a guild that's chill,and is continuing to gain hours steadily. We are moving up the list,and working towards being one of the elite guilds to reach the higher amount of hours rather than just recycling like the rest of the towering crowd. Not saying that some of our ppl didn't leave to "pursue other intrests" aka hat chase and recycle with ppl from other guilds. There are still some of us that would rather keep going then just start over for another hat.

I have seen that happen as well. I don't have much post 1k guild experience but we are doing ok. There have been times when we have had lulls for a week or 2 because the core members which are leads go inactive for whatever reason. I would think guilds would be able to sustain themselves post 1k provided they can keep enough of the core members from running off to recycle or join another guild closing in on 1k. They should also be able to get a steady stream of new members simply because having 1k gets your guild more well known. So IMO ppl would be much more likely to join a guild that they recognize or know.

I'm in Reborn I've seen how it died in a day after getting 1k hats and I'd say it's going to be the same thing for 5k. But I'm still hoping that we are going to 10k.

Same thing *sort of* happened to us. It's a little more complicated since our family remained strongly intact but yeah, the tower taking seised. It was sad, but not both of us are standing on our own two feet again. As allies, might I add :D

Well actually after Reborn we made Aganari and then, after 1k, 95% of the family quit.
Then with Brawl 75% came back and we decided to get Reborn to 5k(And nobody told me about it until I see Reborn on the map xD).

Why would you spend your time running for a 1k hat when you could be going to 10k or sit on a chair like you and hate on towering, the only thing fun that still remains and which the spirit of tower is falling into the shadows because of the 1k hats guilds?

1,000 hours towering or sparring or doing events, it makes no difference how people waste there time on the same game. That argument you have sucks because half the game sits at the arena for thousands of hours staring at there screens like that's better lol.

I don't really have that much of an issue with making a guild with the goal of a guild hat. However, I think you should do it because it's fun, and it's something cool to do with your guild, and as long as it's only on one guild. When you start a new one to do the same thing over again is when it starts getting lame

I'm crazy late to this post but that is untrue Santa, I've had a hat made from Petz for almost a year for 1k but I was debating on handing it as a 1/5k together to allow it to be distributed to more members. Quite frankly, I don't care whether a hat is handed or not nor do most of my members, they would just like to see the guild continue hence the insane amount of spam I've been receiving about them wanting us to start in march. I told them straight from the beginning if you're here for a hat then you're in the wrong guild.

I didn't post thallens original post about naming the guild after just one person however the guilds Aimee and Liz were both entirely started as jokes, Aimee racked up some hours when I was bored on fb and I made Liz the guild as a joke when she was leading Aimee. I spoke with XOR about changing the guild name and he suggested against it.

I truly don't understand where all your assumptions come from, if we gaf about what people thought of us we'd have thrived for 1st which we clearly did not, we were actively 5th at best on weekly charts, just towering for the enjoyment. Get over the anguish or whatever it is.

You always have something to say about my posts or my guild Thallen, I posted that in my status as when I spoke to my guild about combining 1k and 5 I got mixed reviews as to whether we would do it or not though the majority rules that we should just hand to 75 at this point.

And I also still highly appreciate the blast about guilds named after yourself since you are now married to Maebs on the game, have a guild tag with your name that you I may say wear quite frequent, and it was specifically at Maeby at the time.

Here's a possible solution, the only way to get a reward from towering is reaching 10k hours. However, that reward would be a hat irl. The guild sends in their pixelated hat and it's made into an actual hat that you can wear on your head. The hour requirement may need to be adjusted. btw, I'm saying this in a joking manner, let me know if this is actually a good idea.

To be honest I believe Aimee didn't withold hats to keep people active, it was to prevent hat chasers, if it was to keep vintage together it backfired horribly as we struggled immensely just before 5k.

The same guilds would always have the same forts, compettetion would exist but wouldn't be comparable to how it is now (really strong competition))

I'd say the rewards are gained at 10k hours:
Which means at 10k hours you give 65 hats and mounts(I don't know how many you can give).
At 15k it's a spot in the hall of fame and at 25k you get a 25th person mount(Or maybe a 100th mount because everyone knows that a 2 player mount is too small xD)

They could make a book containing all the 1k guilds and put it in a library, or just make a separate list on the leaderboards for 1k+ guilds and then a list for guilds below 1k easy. It would be kinda cool if there was a Guild House in graal city that had all GST Hats and the guilds that won them and all the 1k hats and the guilds name.

^I agree. It would be cool to see a house or building dedicated to guilds. Not just with displays and lists of guilds to reach 1k or higher. Maybe there could be a bulletin board with guilds on it that are looking to recruit,and a place for ppl looking for a guild to advertise their services as well. Maybe since CTF doesn't seem to be salvageable they could change it to a guild hall or something since it is some what centrally located.
