Compared to 360's variety of ways to shoot (aka Halo and Gears of War), Nintendo has hardcore titles such as Mario, Star Fox, Metroid, Fire Emblem, and Legend of Zelda

(Seriously. They're hardcore titles. Nintendo has been listening more to its fanbase. Its appeals to young gamers though for an experience that all can enjoy)

and some addicting ones aswell (Pokemon and Animal Crossing). All what Microsoft are trying to do now is advertise their motion toy.. Which.. SURPRISE: The playstation Eyetoy did a better job at its time.

You can't put Playstation or Microsoft on top of Nintendo. It doesn't work. All Nintendo has been doing is making experience for casual, average, and hardcore gamers better with its revolutionary consoles/handhelds and amazing first-party games c:

Plus with the new Rayman Legends and the upcoming SSB4 (Smash Brothers Universe), The Wii U could actually show its true and awesome potential at its launch unlike other consoles/handhelds (*cough* PS VITA *cough*)

My reply is that igns demographics showed xbox leading by 3.21x more sales than a wi and 1.3x over ps3. And yes but seriously. I dont know about fire emblem but only one zelda game was hardcore enough to make me feel emotion. Mario... Its fun but theres not much of a hardcore story? And i still prefer my kinect over a wii. And ugh we all know about the sad vita.


Also im not sure how much this relates, but igns great gaming survey showed that theres a considerable margin of people owning xboxs and playstations over wiis. Approx 23%. and only about 60% of wii users play it regurarly as opposed to xbox and playstations 90%+ margin.


But on a side note, wouldnt the world be so much happier if nintendo just stopped with all exlusive titles and consoles, wouldnt the world be so much funner with mario on a xbox.

What do you mean exclusive titles and consoles? Nintendo would be out of business since they are solely a videogame company and that's all they make, unlike Microsoft and Sony.

Why the hell would Nintendo bother to put their franchises on xbox? If anything, Rareware should be stripped out of xbox and be given back to Nintendo because Microsoft completely destroyed the beloved Rare Franchises (Banjo-Kazookie Nuts and Bolts, Perfect Dark Zero, Conker Live and Reloaded,etc.). Expect Microsoft to pull a half-assed Kinect motion game as a sequel to the killer instinct franchise next

There was one huge secret but it was only shown by the devs themselves. In Marvel Ultimate Alliance, the wii version was supposed to get Link and Samus as playable characters. The only problem with it though is that the game was fully made on a full sony engine system and Nintendo denied to let that happen

Also, don't forget the highly rumored Halo DS (cancelled Microsoft-Nintendo partnership)

correct, its made by 343 industries that consists of some (ex?) bungie members and new devs dedicated to Halo. Basically a studio formed by Microsoft to keep developing Halo games and suck as much money as they can from the franchise.
Bungie has moved onto a new project, hopefully they'll show us something at E3 :)

That's what i feared...next thing you know there will be Zelda for the 360 and i will lose all hope in humanity... hopefully Bungie will make something just as good though, a trumped up new version of Marathon!

Guys stop arguing, I am pumped for Halo 4, and Pokemon Black and White 2 (plus that other spinoff pokemon game could be good). Plus if a new Animal Crossing comes out that will be good to. You can't really define what is hardcore and what is not, people have their own opinions and feelings

The halo 3 dev team was somthing of 70-80 people
The halo 4 dev team consists of almost 500 people and around 35-40 from the H3 one

That would be sick as, knowing how epic the Marathon games are. But yeah, Bungie made it F2P before Halo: CE was released, so I doubt there would be a sequel. But you never know.

Btw, I heard Bungie's next game is called Destiny, which is a sci-fi MMOFPS. Interesting... :D

Halo is basically their Marathon for this generation, I doubt they would make a new one.
They said they want to do new projects, not reboot old ones.
