Probably because the original PPG was directed towards kids as TTG is. (But even then...I don't think they're that similar since cartoons today are different from cartoons then). Original teen titans was directed towards teens and they dumbed it down for kids...I just hope they don't ruin PPG because most cartoons these days are horrible compared to how cartoons were in the 90s (only ones I like is Gumball, Adventure Time and Steven Universe...but i don't understand cartoons like the abomination known as "uncle grandpa")... I hope they don't make it too "modern".

I loved cartoons back in the 90s, and now I see cartoons and they are just a 'stupid funny' which is obnoxious. I honestly feel like I get dumber if I watch some cartoons. I loved original Teen Titans though & I watched all the other cartoons like PPG and my life as a teenage robot, courage the cowardly dog, etc.
I don't watch cartoon network at all anymore because of the major lack of quality, so I can't imagine a reboot of this show will be better than their current ones.
