I'm here and I'm ready to fight. Star Trek is better than Star Wars.

Star Wars> Star Trek simply because Trek is whitebread. HOWEVER, Stargate SG-1 whoops the 2 of these like no other.

Star Wars vs Star Trek is a war waged by people who aren't even in the Sci-fi scene. A real sci-fi geek would say Battlestar Galactica.

Also, Stargate SG-1 was an incredible series.

That's not really fair. As someone who's seen all of the movies/shows in question, I still think the Star Trek series have the best overall premises, writing, and characters. Although Stargate SG-1 is also phenomenal.

Star Wars. It might not have a lot of official canon right now because EU isn't official anymore but it's currently in the best hands. I think Disney will do amazing things.

Shut the f* up..Disney saved Star wars, Who knows how much crap George Lucas would spit out after creating such horrible and almost totally redundant movies like the prequels.

I started watching TOS of star trek a while ago, not that bad.. the only reason I stopped was because I didn't have enough time.. Honestly was pretty nice.

But in all honest opinion, X-files is way better

Umm....honestly we won't know if it's going to suck or not until it's released and Disney could indeed mess it up. Also, to be fair, the prequels aren't really that bad. Sure they're not as good as the originals, I mean most sequels & prequels normally aren't.
