I strongly agree with this topic. This is 2015 and the world is slowly starting to accept the LGBTQ Community, as said in above posts the majority of players are quite young, yes that is true but censoring a word that describes someone's sexuality can and will most likely be offensive to those who are themselves gay. By censoring this word you are showing the younger players that it is a bad word just like any other censored word including cussing and racial remarks. Being gay is nothing bad or nothing to be afraid of, being gay is just liking the same sex as yourself it's a personal thing, it's not a cuss word, it's not a racial remark and its not a "bad word" if its used in the right context. I agree the word starting with f to be used against gay people to offend them should be censored as that's used in a harmful way but to censor the word gay is completely wrong. We should be supporting all players no matter what their personal tastes are, we shouldn't be censoring their speech to describe their tastes. If someone is gay it dosnt affect you in any way, its simply their own personal taste. I was in a conversation with a friend on Ol'West who I choose not to name, we where discussing Youtube and we led to discuss the people who are openly gay on their and how accepted they are becoming now, we where shocked when we realised for the first time that this word has been blocked. This should change ASAP.

Well look, people will abuse gay being uncensored. Its like un-censoring the B word just because it means female dog. It is the way you use the word, but it still can be abused and hurt other players. Kids play, and what if they keep being called names. Its better to keep it as is as there is other ways to say this word still.

Instead of thinking about people abusing it if it is unblocked we should be worrying about the people WHO abuse it. We could blocking certain sentences where the word gay is being used in appropriately and still allowing certain members of to have their respect, no matter their sexuality.
