You know, I had an idea for if Stefan ever released flying technology... a nuke effect. The entire gmap zooms out to show a portion of the overworld being nuked. I think if flying technology is ever released, Deadwood would be a good candidate.

He did release flying technology, it's just poorly documented/not documented at all.

Can't we just do that with the normal map? We clear DW out then fence it off. People can come and stand around to watch and sing Kumbaya. Those who can't come due to lag can just pull up their map icon. Then when it hits you see the area glow white that flashes the screen for a brief moment then all that's left is a crater. That'd be sweet.

Actually there is nothing to be released. It's just a script, there is nothing hard-coded. In reality everything about it sounds pretty absurd. It is practically a Google Maps sort of thing... except from what I was told you had to manually generate the images and at various zoom levels.

So at the end of the day you have a not-so-impressive script that needs tons of manual labor to get it working and doesn't even handle things like other players/NPCs being rendered.

So after everyone gets their hat from it because thats all that matters, it becomes useless?
