Yes, the story is generic so far. There were moments when the CGI looked a little video game-ish (didnt really bother me), but nonetheless, this is a huge improvement for CGI animation. They also have a great cast of voice actors.

Finally decided to watch season 2 of Tokyo Ghoul. Once again, great artwork and animation, great OST, great build-up for the last few episodes; but again, had no clue where the plot was going.

Something about the artwork in S2 put me off completely.
