Be less aggressive when removing the plug from the socket.

Either
a. Stop buying crappy headphones
b. Take out the cable by holding the stress reliever instead of the cable
c. Stop spinning your headphones around your finger

SRH1540s sound nice, saw your post earlier before I went back to akiba so I had the chance to try them on. Don't know much about the PM-3

b.I bet you also do it.You must know the feeling when you get 30 champion kills in a match and lose because your random teammates wanted to kill the Baron first just to look awsome.
a.Now i'm just using the ear plugs that came with the Note 3.

Just bought the HD700s from a friend, $450. FiiO Olyumpus 2 portable amp for them for when I travel too. Absolutely love them. Done with buying audio gear for a while.

You get a massive amount of diminishing returns past ~$200 imo.

I'm shocked at how expensive watches and other luxury items can get, but hey we all value different things

But yeah, for most listeners, audio quality peaks around a $200-250 set of headphones when you have options like the DT770 and HD25 MSRPing around there, after that point it's mainly just crazy people like me that are really picky listeners

MBK 07-27-2015 05:41 PM

Look like i need to collect some bucks for a new headphone! The way you talk about them makes me want to try them but we don't have any events on audio devices here.
